Side note there is a decent combo:
Aether Channeler + Crystal Shard + Ring, gives you infinite protection from everything except for instant speed interactions

Not a bad planeswalker that is for sure, but does it make the cut?
My aggressive decks just don't have enough early artifacts to get this card to go live. And the artifact.dec shells are neither white nor in the market for aggro beaters. Unfortunately, I just don't think there's a shell for this in the cube.
These were my concerns too, and is even worse in unpowered cubes. Do you think you'd test him if he were color shifted?
I'm sure most will pass on this card but it does do a decent Delver impression with an easier to control trigger. For that I think it deserves its own thread.

Clever Impostor foil is easily $50 right now... and I was thinking of obtaining a Looter il-Kor but the price tag was a bit high. Shh.... you guys aren't helping.
Funny because only true cubers really recognize the power of Looter il-Kor, watched many cube draft videos of people not even mentioning him.
This guy seems awesome. Didn't play magic back when this card was in limited/standard, so never knew of his existence until you made this thread colby.
Very curious why this guy was getting cut from cubes back around his release... When I was scouring these forums for the base of cards to play, saw him no where.
If I just saw him spoiled my jaw would drop.
Have quite a few extra protection spells in my cube that makes me think the will be especially powerful.

Worldwake was a weird set for cube, there were a lot of cards that never took on in MTGSalvation cubes at first, or ever, such as Arbor Elf and Adventure of Zendikar. I think we were overwhelmed at the number of cubeable cards in that set that it was hard to take it all in, that and removal was much more rampant back then.
I'm not stoked but I think Prowess and this card are much better than people are giving it credit for. That or I'm more on board to get all the 1cmc aggro dudes in my cube than most are.
At the worst it is like a Reckless Waif type card, where it doesn't quite do much until it's transformed. But unlike Waif you have the control of how good this card is. Plus he attacks through a lot of things even without Prowess due to threat of activation. Very testable at 450+.
Survives bolt unlike that other 4 drop... I'm interested.

You can either block one creature or tap one. If it could do both together, this may be a good one. But as it is, I generally don't see the appeal of any walls that can't attack, don't punish the opponent for attacking into it in any way, replaces itself (like Wall of Omens). It deals with one attacker only, and this is not good enough for me.
Wall of Omens obviously gets the nod, this card just struck me as unusually good.
Another 3 drop, not quite as good but sacrifice outlets and life gain are fantastic in black.
