Kudos to Sephiroth Owa for the random banner. Tell me, ARE there similarities?
You see, part of what makes playing Magic so special is figuring out the good R&D decisions from the bad ones. If they were all good, it would take away an important element of the game: complaining about Magic on the Internet. - Mark Rosewater

I think I'll nominate myself for town LVP. I did like nothing of concequnce that whole game.
I think the major things I need to work on are a) not procrastinating rereads, and b) not believing anyone who agrees with me to be town (I didn't think Loran was scum for that exact reason: he agreed with me a couple times, and I figured he was town).
Ah well, I'll have future newb games to look forward to, I guess.

You know, right before I came to read this thread, I wondered, "Hmmmm... I wonder if the mafia are going to kill me?"
...Guess I got my answer. Go town, and all that.

Was I the only other person you suspected? Eh, figures...
Yeah, you were. Like I said, I need to do a reread. Once I do that, I'll be able to post reasonable content.
Also, people don't have to ask me to claim because I did so already

Secondly, I would like to point out that he said he doesn't see anyone as very scummy, but he was going crazy about how he thought I was scum earlier. Contradiction much.
I don't really have time to make a full post, but I don't think you're scum anymore because AK got an innocent on you, and we have effectively discounted the possibility of a godfather. Therefore, I no longer think you're scum.

that's the second time this game you admit your priority is not scum hunting.
Uh, no. What I'm saying is that I'm not really feeling the case on you to the point where I'm ready for a lynch, but I also don't have a better target. If people are not willing to wait for the weekend so I can reread, I am not going to be particularly dissatisfied with your lynch. If they can, great, we'll see what I can come up with.

I guess GT is the best suspect out of the lot, although I don't really feel anyone here is particularly scummy. If you guys would be willing to let me stall until the weekend or something, I could reread and post with something a bit more insightful, but if not, then I guess the GT plan is fine.

Spear Pillar is really really cool, but the random beams of death that you can't even predict are just annoying. I would think that a map whose visual appearance invert every so often would be hazardous enough.
Do you guys all know how Spear Pillar works, by the way? It can flip over, rotate ~30 degrees, or become the mirror image of itself - but that's only how the screen is rendered!! You actually don't change the way you move with respect to the environment. That means you have to change the way you control your guy - or rather, change the way you perceive the screen. If it flips over, you fall up. If it turns, you jump at a skew angle. If it inverts left-to-right, you have to play like you're looking at a reflection of the screen (or look at that mirror you propped up in the back of the room, 'cause this is hard ;)).
It's so awesome! (And so tourneybanned!)
This is something that really, really, REALLY bugs me about Brawl. Like half the new stages (well, that I've unlocked so far, and I'm not really trying really hard to unlock EVERYTHING) seem like they have random deathtraps in them. And by random, I don't mean, "you can avoid it if you're concious of it, and then you can have fun throwing other players in to it," but random more like, "what the hell just hit me?!" I have the same problem with the final smashes, which just feel gimmicky at best, and ridicilously irritating and capable of winning games out of nowhere at worst. The worst part is that everyone's going to want to play with them for a while because they're all new and stuff.
And for the last time, it's PSI MAGNET!!! I think the spike property is extraneous. They didn't have to make it an attack. I hope the developers knew what they were doing and it doesn't somehow single-handedly turn Lucas into the tourney-dominating powerhouse of 2008-????.
I've been liking Lucas a lot (that pink shirt is absolutley adorable, and that's a good enough reason to play him for me), but man oh man, do I suck at playing him. I still need to learn how to do that RAR or whatever; it seems like 9 times out of 10, I end up either a) using PK Thunder by accident, or b) shooting my PK Fire into the ground instead of a target. I still love him, though.
That's pretty much my take on Brawl: yeah, there's some annoying stuff, and yeah, I curse at the TV a LOT, but at the end of the day, it's still fun, and was totally worth the $50.

I actually think a nolynch might be reasonable here. The roleblocker's dead, which means that we could just NL until we either find scum or the scum find the doc. And, even if they DO find the doc soon, we'll still have a couple investigations to go by. If we try and lynch, we risk outing the doc, and losing the best thing we have going. I'd like to make sure no one has a huge reason why we shouldn't NL, but after that, I'd be down with a NL plan.

I should probably reread. I'll try to do some sort of detailed analysis by this weekend or something.
