i dont think he has his own battle phas ei think he animates into a indestructable creature then attacks during the combat phase as every other creature
wow that is ridiculous! how can they offer and item at a certain price and then back out of the deal when they find out the value of the item will rise?!
I'm in stratford, Ct. We have about 30" of snow! There was suppose to be a Modern PTQ at my LGS today and it was cancelled because of closed roads. It's turning out to be a pretty bad saturday for one that was suppose to be fun....
Anyone else feel there is a lack of synergy between Augur of Bolas and planeswalkers, Obzedat, Detention Sphere/Oring, Curse of Death's Hold, and Blind Obedience? Maybe I am playing Augur wrong but so many times he tucks an important card. I don't see how SHaheen's list is effective with three Augurs and so many non sorceries/instants.
absolutely! i removed auger of bolas for that reason!
although you souldnt just play him to play him. use him when needed
4 blind obedience in the main deck seems a bit excessive. Considering youre a control deck with very few creatures, you dont have to worry about an opponent playing a creature to block one of yours (your probably wont have one out at the time). So basically blind obedience is only stopping haste creatures. While that is good, 4 in the main deck is just excessive in my opinion.
4 counterflux also seems a bit excessive, youre running 3 colors and counterspells should be as easy to play as possible. 2 blue and 1 red is not easy to play consistently in a 3 color deck.
The last thing you should rework is a win con. I dont see any win conditions that will make things particularly simple. I know boros reckoner is there but he is easy to remove. I think spark trooper is underrated and should see play in these control decks. I have been running american (or puerto rican i should say ) with 4 spark troopers and 3 seance and ive been having fantastic results on cockatrice. Not that that means a ton but so far it has been working out for me. That way you can drop sparktrooper, swing 6 gain 6, get it in the yard, seance it back next turn for free and then have the mana to boros charm him for double strike. Its a great synergy, give it a go! And if not that you should put in some pillar of flames or searing spears.
yea come to think about it 4 blind obedience does seem excessive. i just want to ensure i draw it as soon as possible
spark trooper is definitely a good call ill work him in.
there are tons of red and blue mana sources to be able to play counter flux... but maybe i will drop it down to 3
seance i havent thought of but from your description the synegy with spark trooper sounds awesome
i consider bonfire and aurelias fury to be a win cons as well
thanks for the feed back its much appreciated..
i would also like other opinions keep them coming guys

why not dissipate? much easier on the mana
counterflux being uncounterable is the main reason and didnt want to make the presence of red too weak
