Thanks for the answers. Regarding the Balefire Liege question, what if the case was I just casted Liege, comes into play and before end of my turn, gets a Doomblade in the face. I respond with Lightning Helix. Will the static ability of Liege still take effect?
1. With Leyline of Punishment in play, since this prevents life gain, this will effectively stop Ajani's Pridemate from gaining counters from any source of life gain correct?
2. I have a Balefire Liege and Truefire Paladin in play. I cast Martial Glory targeting both Paladin and Liege, activating Liege's ability. My opponent casts Doomblade on Liege in response to Martial Glory. Will the ability of Liege still work with Martial Glory?
I've tested using Mikaeus by fetching through Ranger of Eos. So far I've managed to only get him to move counters twice. As soon as he's seen in play most often gets bolted (if 3 counters below) or hit with direct removal. Pretty much shows they don't like him. Honor of the Pure is bad enough but getting additional pumps every turn is nasty.
I have a question regarding mikaeus, the lunarch. It comes into play with X counters on it, does the +1/+1 gained by Honor of the Pure count as a removable counter? Or it simply comes into play with X removable counters and is a 1/1 creature (due to HotP) once all counters have been used?
I had the opportunity to test my B/G Poison deck against a mono white and U/W control. It was fun when an Ichor Rat was allowed to deal poison counters and the surprise after 2 groundswells pump it.
I noticed that both decks have Contagion Clasp and Luminarch Ascension. Since they don't take damage from infect creatures, they usually are able to spawn 4/4 angel blockers if they manage to delay you for 4 turns and you don't have any meants to destroy the enchantment. Once the angels come in, I found it difficult to get counters through. they usually run 2-3 contagion clasps at a time. White weenie has Condemn and U/W has Mana Leak which usually screws things up for me.
I might drop Skithyrix, albeit flying, is unable to go through once a 4/4 angel blocker hits the play. If only he had trample...but that's wishing
I might favor 3 Putrefax, 2 Clasps and 2-3 Lashes for this.
Here's my build. I haven't got around to getting a good sideboard yet. I'm play testing these with proxies to see how it fares up and so far, i'm getting good results.
I had a game with a friend last night and this particular scenario got us both confused. Anyway I played a spell which he countered with Memory Lapse. In response, I countered it with Mana Leak which he answered with another Memory Lapse. Should he pay the 3 colorless before he can can counter Mana Leak with another counterspell or does his counterspell invalidate mine?
A further question for the Thrinax getting hit with Path to Exile. If my opponent uses PtE on the Thrinax, and I decide to sacrifice all tokens to eat dealing 5 damage through Hissing Iguanar, will I still have time to cast Soul's Fire before the Thrinax gets removed?
Hi, I would like to ask for your help with this deck. It pretty much wins some games and a lot said it's pretty solid. But I feel like something is lacking and I can't point my finger at it. Hope you can help!
Basically the deck deals with feeding Scarland Thrinax, especially with Hissing Iguanar in play. Using Necrogenesis to feed on creatures in all graveyards then sacrificing them again to Thrinax. Soul's Fire in case of instant removal spells, Dark Temper to get rid of some threats if Volcanic Fallout can't deal enough damage. Rotting rats and Blightning are in for sacrificing/discarding and direct damage/discarding.
I'm still thinking of what a good sideboard would be. Most suggested 1 more Broodmate Dragon in the deck, replace Algae Gharial with Scavenger Drake, Jund Charms instead of Volcanic Fallout. What to you guys think?
Hi guys, I have a few questions and hoping you can help me. I recently played against a type 1 elf deck with some conflux cards namely Path to Exile and there is something that we both where disputing.
Opponent has a Heedless Onein play with 5 other elf cards; 1/1s and 2/2s. So in total, Heedless One is a 6/6 creature right? Second, I play Jund Charm, choosing 2 damage to all creatures, does the Heedless One also go to the graveyard due to the damage since all elves that "pumped" it are damaged beyond their toughness?
Second Question, same game, I have 5 saprolings in play, a Scarland Thrinaxand Hissing Iguanar. My opponent uses Path to Exile on my Scarland Thrinax which is a 8/8 creature by the way, and as an answer, i sacrifice all 5 saprolings to it before it gets removed from the game to deal 5 damage with Iguanar's ability. My opponent says my move is invalid. Is he correct? Reasoning is since the Thrinax was removed from the game, I won't have enough time to sac my saprolings. That pretty much confused me.
Last question, on a different game, 2 Hissing Iguanars and a few saprolings + opponents soldier tokens. He plays wrath of god. Will my iguanars still deal damage to him due to the saprolings and soldier tokens hitting the graveyard before going to nowhere? or will it be nullified since the iguanars will hit the graveyard?

Then can i respond with necrogenesis again or that is not possible?
Necrogenesis Vs. Unearth ability. If i necro a creature with unearth, can the opponent respond with unearth or will necro trigger first?
