Your list is the one I'm actually planning on putting together. It funny I play GR Tron but it's getting a little stale so I wanted to try something new.
Hope your tests will be good, keep playing and testing cause Ad Nauseam is a great deck against most of the Tier1 if u know how to play it!And let me know!
Is there a way to make this deck and do good without the Fetches? I'm thinking of making this as a side project but right now the blue fetches are a little out of what I'm willing to put forward. I've seen some decks on mtgtop8 using 4 or more of the scry lands but just how good are they?
Hi man!I used to put 4 fetches in my Ad Nauseam as u can see in my decklists on mtgtop8 but I wasn't happy with them for many reasons :
1) Lose 1 life point (and u can't use fetchlands if u are at -5 with Phyrexian Unlife)
2) Hatebears is getting more popular so Aven Mindcensor and Leonin Arbiter are big problems...
3) Most of all : I dont' want to shuffle my deck!!During all matches you are looking for combo pieces (Ad Nauseam or Angel's Grace) and u want to dig dig and dig your deck with cantrips and scrylands!Every card u draw, every scryland, every cantrip u use u dig and at the end u will find what u need,if u fetch u lose all your "dig work"!
So I dropped fetchlands as u can see in my last decklists : http://www.mtgtop8.com/event?e=7786&d=244818&f=MO Here I made 5-1 in the swiss round, losing against Rg Tron (Karn Liberated on turn 3 is so bad!) and in top8 lose one more time against Rg Tron!Anyway I found my manabase great now,I don't suffer Blood Moon like before, just try my list and see if u like it!Have a nice day!
P.S. I've seen another deck list on mtg daily that made 4-0 at Modern Daily and he's playing without fetchlands too.

Went to an event last night and ended up going 3-1
Beat Melira pod, UW Tron, and Burn.Lost to that fist of the suns/through the breach deck.
Melira pod was pretty easy. I main deck a Sundering Titan and the dude put in work both games. Wurmcoil helped but the Titan was the man of that match. UW Tron was ez pz. Burn was actually pretty fun. Had no problem in game one, game two he goes t3/4/5 blood moon. I could topdeck a claim to hit one of the three moons but I top the O-Stone Like A Boss I might add.
The Fist of the suns deck was meh. I did not expect it. And that deck is fast....then game 2 through the breach emrakul....yeah
didn't have a single match go 3 games so thats cool i guess.
Going to a Modern event later tonight to prepare for the PTQ next month. Anything I should know? I haven't gone to an event in a long while. Anything I should pack in the side?
Well the thing about Sedris and Unearth is that the turn you Unearth a fatty from your graveyard is the same turn you have to exile it. Sedris is great for getting one more use out of a good, evasive beater or a creature with an impressive ETB effect that you can't otherwise reanimate. Unearthing creatures like Izzet Chronarch, Chancellor of the Spires and Shriekmaw are great because they have good ETB effects but are otherwise unimpressive. Creatures like the Titans, Wurmcoil Engine and Sheoldred are creatures you want to permanently reanimate with spells like Reanimate, Beacon of Unrest and Profane Command. The reason why I think your friend told you to play heavy control with Sedris is because that is something Grixis colors do very well and the tendancy for the deck to be filled with fatties, counters and removal lends itself to that.
If I may make a couple of suggestions
Cards you might want to remove:
Big Game Hunter- Black has much better removal than a card that is only good if you can discard it.
Nightscape Familiar- You're better off with actual ramp, like Darksteel Ingot or any of the signets you could run in your colors.
Army of the Damned- It has a splashy effect and it also has flashback (which is like Unearth but for spells) but it doesn't seem to help the overall theme of your deck.
Patriarch's Bidding- This card is more for tribal decks as you usually can get more out of it than your opponent.
Arcane Denial- I get that it's a splashable counterspell but it's just not that great in my opinion. Letting your opponent draw cards is never usually a good idea. same thing goes for Dream Fracture. Suitable replacements for these cards would be Cryptic Command, Dismiss and Dissipate
Desertion- Most of the time you're not going to want to keep the mana open for this, it would be better to replace it with something else.
Jace, the Mind Sculptor- a lot of people think this is a really powerful card in EDH and they're wrong. Brainstorming every turn is great but he makes you a huge target just for being on the table. Card Advantage is great but you can get it in less threatening forms elsewhere.
Oversold Cemetery- In my experience this card in mind-numbingly slow. If you're going to be Unearthing a lot of your dudes then it will also be kind of inconsistent as well.

Cards to consider:
There are a multitude of black reanimation effects that I'm sure you'll have no trouble finding, but consider adding Doomed Necromancer to your deck. At least he'll be "2B: Return target creature card from your graveyard to the battlefield. Flashback 2BB."
Volrath's Stronghold- Easily one of the better lands you could run, along with Cabal Coffers because more recurrsion is never a bad thing.
REmember that these are only suggestions and it's up to you how to run your deck. The best part of EDH in my opinion is finding the synergies in your own strategy and choosing your favorite path to victory.
Something i probably should have added to the first post...im fairly new to magic, i started this past spring. So other than reading these forums im not exactly sure on what to put in the deck.
Thanks for the suggestions ill post sometime later this week on how they worked out
Ok so i need some help here. Im new to Commander and this is my first deck. I got this list by taking a bunch of lists and trying to mash it together but i think i messed up. I picked Sedris because i thought he was really cool and the concept seemed simple, dump a bunch of bigs in grave and unearth them. Now last night some people told me im supposed to take a "heavy control" approach when playing Sedris. Is that thw way its supposed to be played and im playing the deck the wrong way? or does it really matter how im supposed to play it?
Also any tips on how to make the deck better would be appreciated. Im trying to stay away from Sorin/Sphinx so any suggestions other than those two would be helpful.
On the main website it says to just run oracle and download dka. Well ive done that about 7 times now and i have downloaded cockatrice again. I have every other card in mtg just not DKA cards...
Reading some of the cockatrice forum posts i see that other MAC users are having some of the same problems...could that be the reason why im not getting anything?
So this is something ive been working on for awhile now. The sideboard is a mess so lets ignore that for now.
Started with the elf combo deck but slowly..and i mean slowly changed it to this. I added Kozilek earlier today and so far its pretty nice having him. In some games earlier i was having troubles getting to that 15th mana. I usually get stuck in the 11-13 range for some reason. However with that being said i feel as if the deck kind of need Emrakul.
Im trying to make this the best possible list but its not exactly easy with the amount of removal there is. but as for some improvements i wanted to get some feedback on my list.
I was thinking for using 3 Joraga warcaller, even if its just 1 counter that +1 goes a long way when you have a decent amount of creatures. Taking Essence Warden down to 2 was also on my mind, but im a little conflicted on this one. If i get her out early people usually target the bigger guys and let me get up to 30ish. However sometimes i feel as if i could be using something better suited to help my position. Arbor Elf has also been unimpressive as of late. All he ever really does is 2 damage before getting killed. I just recently put in Devoted Druid and Copperhorn Scout and let me tell you i am in love with those two.
As for the lords im in love with all but one. I love Imperious Perfect and Elvish Archdruid, but i not completley sold on Ezuri, Renegade Leader. Sure if you get that 3/3 +trample you usually win, but i hardly ever win with that. I mostly win from swarming and getting the counters from other things. Ezuri also just ends up as discard fodder. I want to replace him but not sure on what to replace him with...I tried Elvish champion...its meh...
Going below 6 just to find a Leyline seems worse than having to deal with disruption...
Why no love for Teferi?

Whats the best way to deal with the mirror?
Would it be best now to go from G/R to G/W? switching from Breach/burn to Paths/Board wipes?
