In my opinion if you have cash, you are not a bum, you are an adventurer. Bums are poor and eat dead birds on the side of the road cuz they have no other options.

Here's how not to go wrong (or how i don't anyways)...
1. no drugs (that includes alcohol, and caffeine of pretty much all sorts including energy drinks, coffee etc.)
2. drink lots of water.
3. eat a variety of stuff, have a balance of different meals for dinner each week with cereal for breakfast and fruit for dessert and lunch just something pretty plain.
4. exercise.
getting a variety of food shouldn't be hard or expensive? just buy a basic cookbook and pick stuff out of that that you wouldn't usually have?

Politics are a fundamental part of the multiplayer experience, but they can certainly get out of hand and start bogging down the game.
My rule of thumb is that general strategizing is fine but specific plans are impolite (if sometimes necessary). And while short term alliances are perfectly acceptable ("Don't attack me next turn and I'll finish him off") longer alliances are not ("No attacking eachother until everyone else is dead").
spot on. It's one of the most enjoyable aspects of playing something like EDH (as with most multiplayer (as in 3+ player) formats, which is why i really enjoy them) and shouldn't be neglected but nor should it be treated as a really serious thing and become too involved (especially the aforementioned "team?"), you're only playing magic for kicks after all. EDH should always be free-for-all!

Celestial Dawn and Mycosynth Lattice to get around the "Can't have green/red cards or cards that produce red/green mana in Sen EDH" thing in case an opponent has any red/green cards?

Also seems like Smite could be another alternative to Condemn/Path To Exile given the number of less than power/toughness 3 creatures that will be run.

Feeling constrained by your childhood settings and wanting a change of scene shouldn't trigger you to drop everything you've got and take such a risk for a challenge that you could easily find anyways.
Most people feel they want to break away when they've grown up and want to get out of the house. If you're looking for a challenge, just try moving to the next city and surviving on your own, getting a job, an apartment and food on the table WITH the resources YOU have available (money YOU have saved, contacts YOU know ie friends you could move with etc.). As a previous poster pointed out, you're never going to be at all at risk (and therefore not getting that feeling of independence) when your parents are just around the corner. Setting up a standard lifestyle on your own is a large hurdle in itself.
Then if that isn't hard enough, maybe consider other options. But give it a go first, I think you'll be surprised. I'm quite sure you won't spend the whole time sitting around bored. And if it turns out to be harder than expected, you'll thank your lucky stars you didn't jump in the deep end without testing the shallow side first.

It's a case of making your own luck, if you include Leylines and it works and you win some more, good for you. If you don't, you'll avoid ever drawing a useless leyline on turn 9. All down to preference and individual style, each with merits. I think its a really neat innovation in the game (within parameters).

honestly the 2 things dont seem related at all. you want a pet that im assuming your parents dont really want and your mom makes you a deal to get it. then they later buy a present for your sister. really i dont see how theyre related at all. are you mad you have to follow through on your bargin with your mom? or are you mad your sister got a present and you didnt? what i mean is what would make you feel better? if they said never mind on the loosing 20lbs and just went out and got you one?
agreed.
Life in a family (particularly just one or two events in isolation) should never be viewed as some great transaction where everyone has to come out equal... it doesn't work that way. Plus the two things do seem really unrelated...

Scavenger Drake for the win!

And ways to add lots more mana/retain it:
Not to mention stuff to do with all that G mana
What to cut though? I'm at a loss. Looks like a pretty tight list.

and obviously fit in whatever Ravnica bouncelands you can.... guarantees a landfall every turn. Boros Garrison
Explore, cantrips at the very least.
Oracle of Mul Daya, you'd be crazy not to, especially in EDH.

Lim-Dul the Necromancer, Scavenger Drake, Blood Cultist, Deathbringer Thoctar, Gristle Grinner and Hissing Iguanar are begging for a spots.
For some tokens (chumps and/or for the sacrifice effects) Puppet Conjuror, Breeding Pit, Kher Keep and Sarpadian Empires, Volume VII.
I'd remove Withered Wretch for Cemetary Reaper.
Swap Doomed Necromancer for Hell's Caretaker.

Sorry, don't have a lot of suggestions for competitive, if looking for card draw just search "draw cards" on gatherer?

Diabolic Tutor to fit with the budget/hold a place for Demonic Tutor.
Obviously the new M11 Captivating Vampire.
Surprised by the lack of Bloodrite Invoker and Soul Collector.
Oh, and you might also benefit from a Hex.

If this gets popular enough, RDW goes straight to Leyline Of Punishment. Obvious answer for me seems to be Demystify.
Though not DIRECT lifegain, I can imagine builds running Kor Skyfisher (with Soul Warden/Soul Attendant/Kabira Crossroads/Lone Missionary).
Also seems like Smite could be another alternative to Condemn/Path To Exile given the number of less than power/toughness 3 creatures that will be run.
Tossed around also was the prospect of Ranger Of Eos ->Serra Ascendant. Gives that critical re-stock that Survival Cache is also going to be key in filling.
And of course, never discount the other Mono-W planeswalkers (ie Elspeth, Knight-Errant and Gideon Jura) dropping in to help out Ajani Goldmane either.
Your list forgot Transcendent Master!
