For MBI, you have to run 4 of Virulent Wound. It makes no sense to wait two turns and waist a GFtT, DB or VotN on a Bird of Paradise or Champion of the Perish. With VW, you can play it right away, kill a creature and they get a poison counter.
Also, while Skittles is a great card to have to finish off your opponent in the blink of an eye, running more than two is a wasted spot IMOP...
More than once I saw someone talking about Postmortem Lunge, but I don't know if this works since the only creature I would cast for a nice hit without pump is Vatmother, and rarely a dead Skity.
I can say it does work. You cast it when your opponent has tapped out or otherwise isn't prepared for a one turn win assuming you have either lashwrithe or trigun out.
I've been running MBI at FNM for a few months now and consistently go 3-1 and 4-0. One card that no one really runs but has been invaluable for me is postmortem lunge. Its a great finisher when you have a lashwrithe on the board and no creatures and then your able to bring back a flyer, attach and swing for lethal. The card has won me many games and I highly recommend it as no one is ever expecting it.
I play tested the common build that has been circulating on this thread (with mostly proxies) and it didn't do very well. Black Sun is very hard to recover from and tokens got too out of control...
I'm interested in what people have been saying about going up to 28 creatures and using draw effects + overrun to overwhelm. Has anyone seen a deck list for this build?
Just wanted to give my two cents on the Reckless Waif vs Wolfbitten Captive debate:
I like Reckless Waif because she can potential hit for four on turn two is great. But that's the only time she's ever really good. With Wolfbitten Captive I can see how spending two to get in for only three and not getting anything else on the board is not too appealing (at best you are swinging for 3 on turn two with him). But what makes Wolfbitten more desirable in my opinion is his versatility: whenever you are at a point when your not wanting to play spells or have nothing to play, you can still use your available mana to make him even bigger and harass.
I guess the bottom line is I'd rather top deck Wolfbitten over Reckless than hope I get that good opening hand every game I play.

2 Desecration Demon
4 Diregraf ghoul
3 Dreg Mangler
4 Geralf's Messenger
4 Gravecrawler
4 Lotleth Troll
4 Rakdos Cackler
3 Vampire Nighthawk
3 Dead Weight
4 Rancor
3 Abrupt Decay
6 Forrest
8 Swamp
4 Overgrown Tomb
4 Woodland Cemetery
Whats nice about it is that it does well against RDW and can just about as fast but has the staying power for a later game.

There also aren't any Inkmoths in there!

Im not sure how to do the typical deck list but here's what I currently run:
20x swamp
4x inkmoth
4x phyrexian crusader
4x plague stinger
3x whispering specter
2x skittles
4x virulent wound
3x despise
3x Go for the throat
2x Victim of the night
1x Black Sun's Zenith
2x Tezz Gambit
2x Postmortem Lunge
4x Lashwrithe
2x Trigun of Rage
Because of the changes in the meta I haven't come up with a better sideboard but ive consistently used:
3x Black sun's Zenith
3x Ratchet Bomb
3x Surgical Extraction
2x Geth's Verdict or 2x Phyrexian Metamorph
Hope this helps.
He's got green in his casting cost so I don't see why not.

I don't know what it is about young wolf, but I feel like this random little common is going to be werewolve's Doomed Traveler.
