I am wondering if we are influencing each other with this kind of speculation. I mean there are 3 or 4 main theories, but do they really come from the logo or have the first few pages influenced us/new posters.
My image that Zendikar has to be some kind of pulp setting is set, but what would someone think that hasn't read this thread
I really don't know what to expect, but to me the logo has a distinct "PULP FANTASY" feel. I think the set could go into all directions from Conan inspired prehistoric times to Tarzan, Egypt, South America or whatever, but PULP it has to be.
Since we can't automate this, it would be pretty helpful if some people could divvy up the work of testing all the potential mana costs. Someone very helpfully did above; here's :symbr:.
I think you could argue in both directions. There are surpisingly few classes with five major ones emerging, but the distribution seems a bit off, if class mattered in the future...
It's a topic of debate in the Creative team whether or not to revisit high fantasy. While the genre does have many rabid fans, (including a lot of Magic players), avoiding this old-school look and feel does help Magic set itself apart as a whole new kind of fantasy world. I don't have the answer, but since we're just talking about places we'd like to take a holiday, I'll say that I wouldn't mind visiting Wyn
Wyn...?

Did Matt Cavotta just confirm the speculation about Lorwyn bein a "high Fantasy" setting?
Sorry for cross-posting, but this could be relevant for both, LS and FS:
As Time Spiral Block is a Dominaria based Block - doesn't that mean, that the timeshifted cards have to preview cards from sets based in Dominaria? Wouldn't this mean that Lorwyn probably is going to be placed in Dominaria? Or that there will be no Lorwyn previews in Future Sight?

Oh, flavorwise I could see it working quite well on spirits and demons as well.
Oh, I didn#t even notice it "could" continue with "dsteet."
Anyway, with all the different sources I am betting it is true. But what is "High Fantasy" in case of MTG?

Quite a bit.
Here are some random images - probably all from past sets :

So let us gather the info!
