JV, how are you making MM fit? Slots are so tight, and fitting in 4 more (is it a 1cc or 0cc for CB?) non 2-cc spells while keeping a CB curve sounds tough.
Torpor Orb is terrible. 9/10 times Trinket Mage+Tools and Trickbind will be better than a ☺☺☺☺ty artifact that lets you Cheat a Dreadnought into play. With the exception of maybe Goblins, it makes no matchups better (and even here the point about Trinket Mage and Trickbind may indeed be valid)
Torpor Orb weakens counterbalance as it discourages you from running 3cc cards maindeck.
On a note that actually is relevent to making the deck better, Mental Misstep is the stone cold balls in Dreadstill, it makes the best card in the deck; Standstill better than it has ever been before. If you are not playing 4 you are doing it wrong.
Okay I haven't been on Salvation in quite a long time but I'll post the list I am currently Playing, When I have some more time I will read over the last 15 or so pages of the thread and answer any questions that have been raised and left unanswered. Any questions on my list I will also be glad to answer.
Spellsplitter will need extensive testing. It sure as hell will help us save MoE/Prevokers. However it does seem like a narrow card. We'll have to wait for the complete spoiler to be there. Let's keep in mind affinity came to be what it is mostly because of commons/uncommons so. Hopefully we'll be gettnig some top-notch cards that we could exploit.
Thoughtcast not being good? I run 4 of them? O.o I guess you confused a card in there hehe
EDIT: I just played against this guy from Beijing. He was running Tendrils/LED. He said he had played against this deck several times before. Guess this deck is gaining popularity! Thumbs up for all of us!!
I'm actually from Boston, I'm just studying abroad in Beijing (Yay nitpicking) but yeah What I have picked up from the TES vs NeoAffinity matchup is if you don't get down at least 2 pieces of hate you just really can't win. But otherwise I certainly see the merits of this over Standard affinity.
Another thing people are overlooking is that for the most part Legacy runs on a very low cc curve, because of this a lot of decks cheat their lands and only play around 18 and a bunch of cantrip effects, this makes Wasteland especially strong because a hand of 1-2 land(s) and cantrips is perfectly acceptable to keep, with this, a single wasteland can easily mana screw an opponent.
That is the deck that was made; see the Ad Nauseam Angel's Grace Deck posted under the 1.5 forum.
His point is that angel's grace is unnecessary in storm, when you cast AdN with a decent amount of life your going to draw 20+ cards and you will be able to win... you don't need Angel's Grace and the ability to draw your entire deck.
Then, with a CotV at 1, you have to pay an additional R per artifact that you want blown up.
That, sir, is five mana to blast both the Sphere and the Chalice.
Bahamuth is correct, what happens is this:
Announce Shattering Spree and pay 2 replicate costs which are an addition cost making the mana cost on the stack 3. Replicate triggers twice you choose Chalice of the Void and Trinisphere as the targets. Trinisphere checks Shattering Spree and sees a cost of 3 so it does nothing, Chalice of the Void trigger resolves countering the first Shattering Spree the two copies then resolve destroying both Shattering Spree and Chalice of the Void.
How I could possibly use this card effectively now that the M10 rules are out?
For What I read, the only time you could use activated abilities and instants are before the other players choose his blockers.
So How I could possibily use Serendib Sorcerer? I can only turn the creatures 0/2 before my opponent tells me what of his creatures will block? How creatures like Immaculate magistrate will work?
You are also allowed to play spells and abilities at the end of the Declared Blockers step.
