The deck is fun to play (Anafenza with 3 Swords and a Jitte equipped is kind of mean), but in 2-4 player games, but it's missing a haymaker, I find. In multiplayer games it feels like I'm assembling the Elesh Norn + Living Plane lock too many times to beat the entire table.
I built this deck since the meta I play with has a lot of Karador, Ghost Chieftain/Protean Hulk combo decks running around, and it turns out that if they don't combo out on turn 1-2, they have a REALLY tough time winning. I added Angel of Jubilation as well (we have LOTS of creature sacrifice decks), and it brutalizes them.
Just a thought: should there be a land destruction sub-theme jammed into the deck? I'm thinking of adding Sun Titan and Strip Mine to the deck, but I'm not sure. The other LD stuff I have is Living Plane + Umezawa's Jitte, which generally makes people scoop.
I'm going to build this deck, I have most of the cards, so I will be able to put it together (just need to get the sleeves for it and proxy up a couple of things I don't have yet).
I'm also going to see if I can jam The Abyss in this, either as a replacement for the Magus or in tandem.
I'm also trying to see how fast you can win with your list in the first page, and correct me I'm wrong, the quickest kill would be turn 3, correct? It would involve the absolute nut draw, but I can't think of how to pull it off turn 2.
Pathbreaker Ibex brings the violence. It's a Craterhoof Behemoth you can cascade into, and offers a disgustingly quick clock (just him plus Wanderer is 28 trampling damage).
OR OR, Mana Web with your Pendrell effects and a propaganda out. It can lock down a board pretty quickly.
They could still attack by tapping all their mana first. Basically its not a lockdown, you're just giving them the choice between attacking and casting spells. And in multicolor decks they could potentially do both still. It's decent, but not a lockdown unless you run Static Orb/Winter Orb/Stasis package.
Actually, with a Mana Web and a Pendrell effect out, you tie up your opponent's mana base by having them trying to keep their creatures alive during their upkeep, which makes it hard for them to pay for Propaganda effects (which take place during combat).
I just need a couple of kinks worked out of the deck. It does seem to work in smaller games (3-5 players), but anything over 6 is an uphill battle when EVERYONE is ganging up on you. Before anyone asks Spiteful Visions was in the deck before, but I realized that I was never happy casting it considering how many cards I was drawing and how much it was hurting me. Phyrexian Tyranny might also get cut soon, but I don't know for what :(. The one card I can't get is Timetwister, due to its price.
And before anyone asks, I use Obliterator after I cast Omniscience, where I win very soon afterwards.
Yes. For all intents and purposes, they are better than basic lands (and being able to be targeted by non-basic land hate is not a criterion to determine if they are 'strictly better' than basic lands).
Pimp: Black Bordered ABU Duals + Foil everything that can be foil. Using the most expensive foil. So FTV JTMS doesn't count (says the guy who put it in his EDH deck to foil it out a bit more)
I have to say I am never completely foiling out a deck. Ever. I foiled out a crappy burn deck (not my Legacy one, a casual one) and the amount of time and money it took to foil it out made me realize I do not have the patience to do so.

I also loaded up on removal.
Thinks I'm thinking of adding:
Eldritch Evolution
Academy Rector
Which is an easy way to get the Living Plane + Linvala lock out.
Deck edit 5/29/2017.

MLD used for the LOLs: You're an idiot, and I'm attacking you as soon as I can recover, and every subsequent game we play.

And I have a The Tabernacle At Pendrell Vale in my collection, might work it into the mana base.
The game was awesome and stressful to watch, and the Gotze goal was a thing of beauty.
If anyone has an opposing Consecrated Sphinx, I die with Notion Thief out. And the Sphinx is ubiquitous in the metas I play in.
The Words Of War is a good idea, but I need to find room for it.
I forgot about the Reliquary Tower in my android app, so I updated the list.
