It takes the spot of Falkenrath Aristocrat in the Human Reanimator Combo decks...Resolving an Unburial Rites on an empty board now just ends the game. With Fiend Hunter, Huntmaster of the Fells, Kessig Malcontents, and Cartel Aristocrat all being Human, the deck gets infinitely better by not having to wait for a Falkenath Aristocrat to be in play.

Sorceries can only be CAST on your main phases, with an empty stack (Unless something else says otherwise.)
However, Reverberate is not casting the spell. It is simply placing a copy of the spell on the stack, and you may choose to target a new thing if you wish.
Exactly, nearly everyone has hate. I play game 1 as normal. I usually win g1 pretty easily. Then I shove my entire sideboard into my deck and take out 15 cards. Sometimes its the entire sideboard I take out. Sometimes its specific cards. 75% of the time, I go to Miracles for game 2. Especially if I'm facing a control deck.
There's no bigger blowout than when someone casts a Tormod's Crypt turn 1 and you have sided into Miracles.
Play this deck like Dredge in Legacy. Don't add weird, random things to the deck to be cute. Angel of Glory's Rise maindeck? Sphinx of Uthuun? Those are way too cute. You're a dedicated combo deck and the more you try to hinge your deck to be resilient to hate maindeck, the less consistent your deck will be. Imagine if Dredge ran maindeck hate for Scavenging Ooze. Sure, you have a better matchup vs. decks running Ooze, but your deck suffers because of it. Your sideboard is what deals with hate. Oblivion Ring just happens to be a catch-all.
You play the control game for the first half of the game. Play chump blockers, specifically Alchemist's Apprentices until you get a Seance in hand. Sometimes you can slamdunk a turn 4 Seance, but then again, sometimes you might want to wait and build up card advantage and go for turn 6 Seance with Izzet Charm backup.
Outside of the actual combo of Manic, Seance, and Phantasm, Izzet Charm is by FAR the best card in the deck, hands down. It's a Spell Piece, Faithless Looting, AND Shock, all in one! Specifically the Faithless Looting mode. Izzet Charm is better at it than Faithless Looting is. Instant Speed matters so much in this deck. I've had so many times when I was just UW and I would draw my 1-of Phantasm and just be the most pissed off guy in the room, but now with Izzet Charm, I can get around that with ease. I cut Thought Scour for Izzet Charm and I've never looked back.
I think 2 Snapcasters, 1 Maniac, and 1 Phantasm are correct numbers. Snapcasters get burdensome, mana-wise when drawn in multiples. 1 Maniac, because if they can deal with 1, they can definitely deal with 2. Better off just trying to protect this one. 1 Phantasm, because a LOT of the time, you only get 1 turn cycle to win before you get killed.
6 Sweepers minimum. No reason not to have these. 4 Terminus is almost a must. Especially with Falkenrath Aristocrat in the format. Supreme Verdicts #3 & 4 come in for the more aggro decks.
vollick1979, I'm not sure if you realize this, but you can't combo with 2 Mirror-Mads easily. If you mill 1, you can't start the combo until the other one gets milled.
It seems that there's a few things you don't understand about the game, dex.
There is only 1 stack. Everything goes to this 1 stack to resolve, in reverse order of when it was put there. So in your example, your arbor elf's ability would go on top of the stack, on top of the naturalize spell. Things on the stack resolve one-at-a-time, so your forest would untap and both players get priority again. This is where you can cast naturalize.
HOWEVER, please realize that casting Naturalize on an artifact such as Chalice of Life will not stop the effect from happening. Abilities are independent from its sources unless specifically noted on the card.
Hey guys, I remember a few years back that there was a website where you could copy/paste your full match history from the DCI website and it would show you who your "nemesis" was as well as statistics vs. specific people. (ie. how many times you've played)
Anyone wanna help me find this website and see if it still works? (Yes, I've already tried to google it.)
Hi guys. i tend to look at MtgS from time to time on my mobile device (My iPhone, specifically) and I've noticed something recently. Every once in a while, I get redirected to a phishing/spam website whenever I'm on this site. is this something you could look into?
Obzedat, Ghost Council + Whip of Erebos is a pretty good start.
