I pulled three mythics in my Alara Reborn fat pack, one in M10, one in the first Zendikar fat pack I opened, and two in the second one. Obviously it's not a guarantee to get a mythic, but the odds aren't too bad. The part I hate is seeing two lonely fat packs sitting on a shelf and deciding which one to buy, then second guessing myself and wondering what was in the other one. I guess that's part of the allure of cracking open packs.
you realize he has protection from colored spells right? and would probably kill you before you respond. Although I agree, i think (played right) Eldrazi can be competitive. Hand of emrakul is ridic, sac 4 tokens, win
Journey to Nowhere and Oblivion Ring don't count as colored spells in this instance as they come in to play as an enchantment, then the permanent does the targeting. So you could use either of those cards as a way to deal with Emrakul, the Aeons Torn.
I've been testing with three Mul Daya Channelers and so far they work fairly well in Mythic. They usually come down as a turn two drop after a Noble Hierarch or Birds of Paradise. An occasional 5/5 vanilla beater on turn two that also accelerates into more threats and helps with fixing UU or WW is some good, but this is only with limited testing. I replaced two birds and went from 2 to 1 on the Thornling count to fit the channelers in. There have been times that I wished they were birds instead just to fly over in a ground stalemate, but then again, that's what Elspeth, Knight-Errant is for.
