The mechanic tends to annoy people and cause the entire table to gang up on you regardless that it is very difficult to get every opponent to 10 counters in the first place. Infect doesn't have the chops to play multiplayer in my experience. Outside of building an actual infect deck; Blightsteel Colossus can do work in artifact decks or you could try to build around Inkmoth Nexus and Cranial Plating. I've seen people attempt proliferation and Ichor Rats to no avail amongst other ideas; I would save myself the heartbreak and not attempt to build solely around poison...you will be disappointed.
I agree that ETB tapped lands are bad for Slivers and I wouldn't play them ever. Forbidden Orchard seems bad if Galerider isn't in play since we aren't using Trample.
The fact you can run all of Prid3's shell (which is very solid) and still likely squeeze in 12x copies of Muscle Sliver is exciting. I would run at least one Harmonic Sliver and I doubt the usefulness of Venom Sliver; you're going for flying shrouded indestructible lifelinkers, ...deathtouch just seems greedy when you could be pumping or adding additional utility.
This is definitely one of my favorite types of decks; Dark Ritual is usually invaluable because landing that turn one Necrogen Mists/Bottomless Pit/Ensnaring Bridge/ is quite desirable. I always run four Smallpox as well and a few copies of Pox. I'm a huge fan of Noetic Scales and usually run at least two but the card can be somewhat problematic getting to four mana can be difficult at times.
The fan created Waste Not is going to be an extremely interesting addition to the archetype, this card is going to come in the 2015 core set and I can't wait.
OK - Help me out, Cloudstone Curio - Why is this so good here? I'm not seeing it - BUT, I often don't, as I am still quite new to the game (Only a year and a half or so now..)
The nice aspect of green decks is you're going to be ramping regardless of whether or not Lurking Predators sticks around or not, you're still able to hard cast as well. Genesis Wave, Primeval Bounty, Garruk, Caller of Beasts, etc. If you're using decent ramp and incredibly threatening creatures your critical mass scheme doesn't matter so much.
You guys really like Hydra Omnivore; I'm not saying it's a bad card per se, I'm just not a fan of cards that have to be given trample, given unblockable, given protection, to really shine. Also dropping large fats is going to draw attention in general, but this one really turns on the clock.
4x Boros Reckoner
4x Figure of Destiny
1x Gisela, Blade of Goldnight
4x Nobilis of War
2x Tajic, Blade of the Legion
4x Truefire Paladin
5x Mountain
4x Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx
7x Plains
4x Sacred Foundry
4x Legion's Initiative
3x Aurelia's Fury
Artifact (4)
4x Coalition Relic
Battalion is bad, just play good cards.
The downside of Forbidden Orchard is so so minimal in reality.
Where's Boros Reckoner, Figure of Destiny, Truefire Paladin, Brion Stoutarm, and Balefire Liege? Those are the cards I want to play with in Boros; as well as four copies of Legion's Initiative along with Assemble the Legion.
Something like this perhaps:
4x Balefire Liege
4x Boros Reckoner
1x Brion Stoutarm
1x Gisela, Blade of Goldnight
4x Nobilis of War
2x Tajic, Blade of the Legion
4x Truefire Paladin
2x Assemble the Legion
2x Aurelia's Fury
24x Lands
You could even use Fanatic of Mogis as well, and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx!
The fan created Waste Not is going to be an extremely interesting addition to the archetype, this card is going to come in the 2015 core set and I can't wait.
To bounce cards such as Sylvan Primordial, Primeval Titan, Thragtusk, Eternal Witness, and Elvish Visionary, etc...cards you should be playing in these types of decks.
Regardless, I'd pick Hydra Omnivore over Engulfing Slagwurm and Archetype of Endurance every time.
