Like many have said. Muse sounded terribly similar to Radiohead early into their career. Check them out. Anyways. Muse is sooo overrated. I put 3 songs onto a playlist and they were the first to go. Couldn't stand listening to them more than 3 times in one week which is sad. They aren't bad. Just bleh. Not good repeat music.
Glad to see this thread.
Has anyone that thinks Beast Within is amazing actually playtested with it?
Has anyone ever used Pongify? Its similar.
In standard, the 3/3 it leaves behind is SUPER relevant, you can't act like it is negligible all of the time.
Have YOU actually playtested it? The decks that are likely going to play it are Valakut and Eldrazi Ramp, which both play Overgrown Battlements that block 3/3s all day and Primeval Titans that just laugh at small vanilla creatures. When you are ramping into stupidly powerful end games, you just need to make sure you don't lose to annoying permanents like a Sword of Feast and Famine or Jace. Beast Within provides answers to any of those problematic permanents, and most of the time, the 3/3 isn't relevant at all.
You could use a similar argument about Path to Exile, so was that a bad card?
Card advantage isn't the be all end all in every situation. The difference between your opponent having a Jace in play and a 3/3 in play is so big, that it is worth being down a card. Plus, the versatility of being able to kill a Sword, Gideon, or Titan if your opponent doesn't have a Jace makes Best Within a very good card.
I lost 40 pounds last semester and it was fairly easy. These are the steps I followed:
1. No Snacking. I ate a normal lunch and dinner everyday, but made sure I never snacked at all.
2. Don't drink your calories. Stick to water and diet soda, but mostly water.
3. Exercise EVERYDAY. Find something you can do for an hour or so and get into the routine of doing it every day. I bought a recumbant bike off of Craigslist for like $60 and rode it for 1-2 hours every day while watching TV or playing video games.
That's all I did and I lost a good deal of weight without too much trouble.
Mark Rosewater always talks about magic design theory and how if you don't like a certain magic card, that's because it wasn't made for you. Spikes everywhere laugh at how terrible Krosan Cloudscraper is, yet Timmy down the street looks on in awe whenever the gigantic, seemingly unbeatable 13/13 is cast. Why such a huge difference in reaction? Krosan Cloudscraper was made specifically for Timmy.
It's the EXACT same thing with music.
Who's to say some music is crap and some isn't? Is Krosan Cloudscraper crap? Not to Timmy who has won every casual game that he has played it.
For example, who typically likes music by Lady Gaga?
- Girls (as a generalization)
- People in the mood for music they can dance to
- People in the mood for party music
If you don't fit into any of those catagories, you probably don't like Lady Gaga. And guess what, she's not making music for you! Those of you who want music with technical guitar riffs/deep lyrics/whatever, the people who just want party music don't like your music either!
I hate every song I have ever heard from Justin Beiber, but I respect the fact that I'm not supposed to like his music, the million of 13 year girls across the world are his target.
Everyone needs to chill out and understand that if you don't like a certain kind of music, that's fine, it wasn't made for you. There are tons of people out there that don't like your music either.
As I was looking at the album/s and considering them I realized that even though there's very good songs on them, the albums as a whole aren't very good.
(In my opinion)
I disagree, in my opinion both albums are VERY good from top to bottom, with Summerboy being the only song on either album that I don't like.
I'll give it a shot. My list, no particular order:
Muse - Origin of Symmetry
Muse - Black Holes & Revelations
Radiohead - Kid A
RHCP - Stadium Arcadium
Arcade Fire - Funeral
Lady Gaga - The Fame/Fame Monster
Daft Punk - Discovery
Coldplay - A Rush of Blood to the Head
MGMT - Oracular Spectacular
Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot
Including two Muse albums is admittedly from my bias towards them since they are my all time favorite band, but I feel strongly that all 10 albums listed here are legitimately incredible. Lady Gaga in particular I feel is not getting enough love in this thread. I understand everyone doesn't like her music, but she really is the biggest influence to pop music we have seen in a long time. The next decade of pop will be heavily influenced by her (I could easily see Gaga-Pop being a common term to refer to music from 2008-2020 in the future) and, from personal experience, has exposed a lot of people to electronic pop that otherwise were not interested. Additionally, she has pretty much single handedly revived interest in music videos, and her image and clothing style has already heavily influenced every other female pop artist in the industry.
Don't think of this card as being just a good card for answers period. This card is going to be sick in Limited. Dropping a 4/4 for 4, gaining 4, and hosing any ideas of possibly small discard effects. This is going to be the big bomb everyone is praying to draft in M11.
Umm....no. He is fine in limited, but far from a bomb. He is much better in constructed than limited.

Lady Gaga has converted me.

Seriously, this guy is better than Loxodon Hierarch. I think he will see a lot of play, at least in sideboards.
