If it's banned for power level, I understand that, but I wish it weren't.
I'd much rather see someone Upheaval and win rather than someone Decree and we get to play draw-go. That's all up the play styles of playgroups, but I wish people wouldn't play stupid.
A vanilla flyer isn't good in edh and again if someones using whelk simply as a one-time cancel + vanilla flyer, they're not using it right.
To be fair, depending on the deck, this is a more than good enough use. I had a Venser list that would often just kill with a 5/5(or bigger) Whelk. This is for 1 v 1, but still. I had ways to abuse it, but it often wasn't needed.
But seriously -- I just Necrotic Oozed my way to victory again. Play your graveyard hate, people. Look at it this way: a lot of good graveyard hate cantrips, and if you play enough cheap cantrips, you can skimp on lands! Bonus.
Best friends. I too am quite fond of the Ooze and winning because people skimp on gy hate. What color combo were you playing?
Anyway, my pick for this thread is not something I think it outright terrible so much as overrated: Lightning Greaves.
I was playing a game last night on Cockatrice with a control deck that is bent on gaining card advantage over people(Peasant Garza Zol, if you were wondering.) and was questioned when I started using Shattering Pulse on the multiple Howling Mines on the field rather than hit the Greaves the Sliver player had. I just didn't care about it.
I can't stand foreign cards. Not only are they really annoying when someone doesn't know what the card does, they don't actually look better at all, in my opinion.
Same here. I've never understood the fascination. At an Extended tournament I was at recently, I saw someone play their general, Sakashima the Impostor, incorrectly 3differentways during the same game...
Seriously though, I'm a fan of women with a little more to them. This Chandra doesn't qualify, but even if she did, I'd take a pass because of the whole weird face thing.
So pretty much you won because the other guy didn't understand the interaction? Those are pretty nice wins.
Is this sarcasm? I think it's pretty funny and the opponent could have figured it out with a little more thought. In a tournament, I'd probably think "Sweet. Free win.", but even in casual it's too funny to let slide.
Mrd2u seems to have touched on this. Ooooooh well.

I cube, I play EDH, and I can't afford Legacy. The other formats can suck it.

Next time(if/when) you're single, we'll go cruising. Never mind that we probably live in entirely different parts of the country/world.

People might not know you play a variant version of the format. You could try to be a big boy instead of acting like a tool. Kthxbai.
