In response to him choosing, he attempts to bounce the Ætherling.
I'm pretty certain this doesn't work, but i'm curious. When a player is told to sacrifice a creature, is him choosing and sacrificing a creature instantly done? Or is there time for a player to react to these choices?
I didn't go with any species in particular, but a splash of tokens (Birds, Eldrazi, Soldier, and Saproling), so the creature type specific cards seem out of place.
I played more with this deck and found a few interesting things.
Life-gaining cards like Suture Priest and Leyline of Vitality do a lot to keep me alive until the deck gains more steam. Flametongue Kavu is really deadly with Mimic Vat, as I can take out most threats against me every round!
Just a first spitball suggestion (i might have more later): Replace tukatongue thallid with plain old thallid. You said yourself that the local meta is a bit slow, which thallid appreciates, tukatongue is only better in a fast environment (or one with a lot of sweepers). Other thallids are also pretty good. Most people are down on Thallid shell-dweller, but he is a nice blocker who can provide you with tokens over time. Maybe also scatter the seeds, and verdeloth the ancient.
Thanks for the tips.
I think Thallid is a solid replacement, i'll have to look fir him!
I like Thallid shell-dweller, but he doesn't block air, and that is sometimes problematic.
verdeloth the ancient is too expensive, since I have mycoloth, and scatter the seeds is a sorcery, which works against the deck in many ways.
Games can take awhile in my meta, so i'm trying to NOT die in the beginning.. but have solid token generators by the end.
Right now, I don't really have many ways to win the game :x
It mostly is built around creatures that put tokens into play. Later in the game, I use either splinter twin or mimic vat to begin generating more and more creatures.
I also have 4 coat of arms, but not sure if it fits here.
I like this :x
I ran a wierd Red/White deck before the scars, and I can share my thoughts on a few things.
Runs Out Of Fuel!
With an equpment heavy red/white deck, you dont have this problem as much. But honestley sometimes after the opponent has controlled you and starts drawing, youll have no cards in hand and are topdecking lands..
I solved this problem by running ways to keep the deck running. Ranger of Eos, Stoneforge Mystic, and Sun Titan. These cards kept me in the game and kept my hand full.
Losing Ranger of Eos is a pretty big smack, since we gained like.. three more kickass 1 drops. But stoneforge and Sun Titan are still there.
You get my point though. If you are, later game, running out of fuel, then we may need to address it.
Another problem: Creates toughness is WAY too low! The one creature in this deck that isn't below 2 toughness is Kemba. And she is still kinda iffy.
I played a simmilar deck against an opponents deck, and like halfway through the game he'd just pyroclasm everything, totally knocking me on my butt.
So: Limit the number of little guys. I understand the reasons, they are quicker and its more aggro. I say keep TWO little dudes at best.
And they should be Goblin Gaveleer and Kor Duelist, as ill explain next.
Too Much Equipment! An equipment deck doesn't need like 10 equipments man >.<
I ran three in my deck, and four in the new one. And it works fine. You have 4 stoneforge and 4 equipments, so technically 8 cards that you can get your equipment by.
I can understand if we need to up it to 6 for aggro, but thats all.
Which equipments is also a good question. Nim Deathmantle is too expensive for my taste. 4 to equip is a heafty cost to just get 2 more damage, of which is either red/black or white/black...
Adventuring Gear Definitley an interesting equipment. It's aggro pump can be good, assuming we run more than 4 fetchlands. As a cheap equipment.. it might be the best one.
Basilisk Collar I love this card as much as the next guy, but do we need the lifegain? I'd prefer somebody playtests this before we decide its the best equipment. I feel we will find that its just not up to par.
Sword of Body and Mind Stick with one, but definitley keep. With the double stirke he becomes somebody they usually have to block (So they dont get milled 20 and you dont get 2 lizards). Also nets you guys to equip. Sword of Vengeance Stick with one, but definitley keep.
Argentum Armor Before anybody suggests it. Too expensive, and it belongs in mini sovreigns deck.
Infiltration Lens Another card to think about. If they DO block, you get the card advantage. Makes blocking less appealing too. Especially if we run a bunch of removal.
Livewire Lash Card seems cool and cheap. What do you guys think of it?
Removal: We should definitley go a little heavier on the removal. Just 4 lightning bolt won't cut it.
Once you guys more equipment and creatures, you'll have room for it.
Baneslayer should be the 5 drop, because its a 5/5 flying lifelink, and thats better than 1/1's
Koth of the Hammer should be in this deck. 4 drop, gives you another body. Lives a turn, he gives you the mana needed to make 3 guys equipped or something. But mostley he will force your opponent to swing and kill it, giving you an opening.
Elspeth? She competes with baneslayer. But she puts just as much pressure on the opponent, and gives you bodies. Only problem.. she kills your equipment :/
Man, idk about you, but im incredibley excited about koth.
Garruk is better than Koth?
...I guess? Not gonna lie, its a sort of strange comparison to make. Same cost, but totally different planeswalkers.
But if you wanna say who's better, than sure, Garruk is. Garruk see's, and will see, more plan in many decks. He is easily one of the best planeswalkers in the game. Simple, and deadly. You can really put him in any deck that runs green comfortably.
Koth, however, will see, most likeley, probably one deck. Mono red. Cuz his second ability is crazy for mono red. And his ultimate is obviously awesome too.
I have played a t2 mono red deck for awhile now... and it sucks. No answers to titans, most decks just are faster, and with terminate its better to splash into different colors. Koth, like kargan, is a step towards encouraging mono red decks. So again, I am incredibly excited for Koth, and I am looking foward to see how my deck will transform with him, and possibly artifacts.
BLACK:
Black has some of the best black staples and kill cards, but revolves mainley around sacrificing. When drafting I went for all the sac cards, and anything to make me bodies. If you are lucky enough to get either Bitterblossom or Awakening Zone, this deck can be very powerful. As long as you have something to sacrifice, most all the cards here combo to control and kill your opponent.
The only worry is that if you dont get all the sac cards.. can you make a deck that uses sacrifice to power it up at all? Or does black just kinda die to that?
Red:
I havent really gotten to try red out much. It has a lot in the way of burns and scary things. I am curious to see how this can do with Blue, which is a lot of drawing... Seeing as how most cards in here are easy to splash to, I feel red is good.
Green:
Green is all about Pump and Aggro. It has all the cards that have opponent shroud, or ways to give your creatures shroud. Thus far it has worked well and is a fun color to go for.
Blue:
I just remade blue to be more draw cards and blue staples. So far it has worked great to be control, and the draw seems plentiful.
WHITE:
White weenie man, nothin else to say. A lot more creature buffs (+1/+1) than most cubes...
So far I love the cube. I'm having trouble with my proxies (I used rules cards, with the card glued in front) since, with my new Dragon Shield Pink Sleeves (Don't Judge!) you can see some of the text from the rules (Marked Cards)! I'm annoyed as hell but ill probably just re-do the glueing process onto lands this time :/
Thanks again for the help on everything, such as my green pumps, huge help on the black section and my new land section.
Let me know what you guys think, and ill come back with more detailed reports!
You're trading 5 cards that are at best playable and some jank for a card that will stay at $50+ barring some grave changes to Standard come Scars block. I don't see what your question is.
My question was if it was worth it to continue trading for these foils, something that is becoming more and more difficult.
But jeese if im gonna end like $30 up then ill just overtrade for the cards.
I'm finding it exceedingly difficult to find some of these cards. Ive managed to obtain the lands, all the Wren's Run, and 2 of the watchwolf. But i've had like no luck with the Master of the Wild Hunt.
Would you guys say that it is worth it on my end to continue trying for these cards? Am I getting the better end of this deal? Are Foil Master Hunts that hard to find?
With Other Colors: Death Pit Offering (For powering up my guys or maybe splashed in different colors?)
Blood Funnel (Thought this might be good when mixed with other colors?)
Vicious Betrayal (For green pumps?)
Wicked Reward (For green pumps too)
As for the other cards that i'm pretty sure I want:
Other: Hunted Horror (Making them sac stuff so hopefully the two 3/3 wouldnt be a problem)
Please let me know what you think of these cards/my chosen cards. Once I get that, i'll create and incorperate these changes into my cube and come back with my list and how it worked out.
I was also going to throw my green pump ideas out, and then I can stop bugging you all
Opponent has two Ætherling creatures
Opponent chooses Ætherling 1
In response to him choosing, he attempts to bounce the Ætherling.
I'm pretty certain this doesn't work, but i'm curious. When a player is told to sacrifice a creature, is him choosing and sacrificing a creature instantly done? Or is there time for a player to react to these choices?

I may be able to trade for a Thragtusk, which would be preferred.
In the meantime, i'll dig out my Kitchen Finks and Eternal Witness

I have a jund deck, which was once T2 during the alara block.
It's changed a bit, and I've gotten to the point where I need to take a few cards out.
Here is the current deck:
4x Putrid Leech
4x Sprouting Thrinax
4x Bloodbraid Elf
3x Abyssal Persecutor
1x Master of the Wild Hunt
2x Siege-Gang Commander
4x Explore
4x Terminate
Sorceries
4x Maelstrom Pulse
3x Blightning
Planeswalkers
1x Garruk Wildspeaker
1x Sarkahn the Mad
3x Dragonskull Summit
4x Rootbound Crag
2x Raging Ravine
2x Lavaclaw Reaches
3x Savage Lands
3x Swamp
3x Mountain
4x Forest
Question 1:
I want to take out Seige-Gang for a different deck. What cards do you feel could replace siege-gang?
Question 2: If you see other cards that irk you, or know of cards to put in, please throw them at me!
No real limitations on cards.
This is definitely my favorite deck. It's this cheap mix of agro and removal. Thee deck can speed up multiplayer matches and is very good 1v1.
Thanks

I found out that an employee at a store near me is selling his sealed FTV: Relics for $80.
The reason I want this is because I can use the cards inside for my Cube
$80 seems like stupid high for me, even though its already out of print.
Is this an oppurtunity any of you would jump on? Or should I just not sink my money into this?
Thanks
Fungusaur
My question was if it was worth it to continue trading for these foils, something that is becoming more and more difficult.
But jeese if im gonna end like $30 up then ill just overtrade for the cards.
Thanks guys, sorry for the stupid question
Fungusaur
The other day my friend pulled a Foil Primeval Titan.
I offered the following trade to him, and he accepted:
3x promo Wren's Run Packmaster
2x foil Master of the Wild Hunt
4x foil Watchwolf
8x foil Lands (3 Plains, 7 Forest, cannot be white bordered)
I'm finding it exceedingly difficult to find some of these cards. Ive managed to obtain the lands, all the Wren's Run, and 2 of the watchwolf. But i've had like no luck with the Master of the Wild Hunt.
Would you guys say that it is worth it on my end to continue trying for these cards? Am I getting the better end of this deal? Are Foil Master Hunts that hard to find?
Thanks for the input
Fungusaur
Gargoyle Castle I always felt is not a good card. If you want a man land, use Dread Statuary instead
3 Sun Titan is pushing it I feel. Trim it down to 2.
I also thing 4 Wall of Omens are too much. They are good, but 3 should be plenty.
3 Inferno titan is also way too much. Sun titan is just better in this deck. I would hesitate on putting in even 1, but go ahead and try it.
Baneslayer Angel is a solid card. I'd add another 1 if you can.
idk about the Everflowing Chalice, does it really help you that much? Would some 1 drops be better than them?
How well does Elspeth work in your deck? I feel you should keep her in, but also consider Ajani Vengeant.
As for your sideboard.. I dont know about Magma Phoenix or Baneslayer. Consider Manic Vandal for artifact kills. Then consider Goblin Ruinblaster
Id also do -1 Kor +1 Celestial
Leme know what you think of my thoughts, and please tell us how your deck has been fairing against what.
Fungusaur
Thanks for the input Quite
I have Defiler of Souls in my cube, just because he has an awesome affect
I'll need to add more cards than whats there than. What do you guys think about these then:
Threshold:
Persist:
I figured:
Persist for more bodies
Threshold since I will have an ever growing graveyard
As for the rest of the black slots, I am just going to fill them with the Black staples.
Fungusaur
Cards I'm Unsure About:
Deathspore Thallid (I feel like he would be too slow to generate bodies..)
Sac Ability:
Fallen Angel (Any better for saccing cuz its flying?
Fallen Ideal (It goes back to your hand, but is it worth it?)
Gutless Ghoul (Wouldn't the land be better than this guy?)
Plagued Rusalka
Thoughtpicker Witch (Getting rid of their bombs on luck would be so satisfying)
Infernal Tribute
Reanimation:
Footsteps of the Goryo (Reanimation for somethin to sac?)
Mandatory Sac:
Desecration Elemental (Is he worth the negative?)
Doomgape
Hecatomb (The ability is nuts, but is it worth 4 creatures?)
Lord of the Pit
Necrotic Plague (I think this would fit perfectly, but im worried it might be a bad card if they stick it on some fundamental creature..)
Smallpox
Woebringer Demon
Din of the Fireherd (wanted to see if you guys like this ability)
Gravepact (I feel that this might just be un-fun to play against)
Greater Harvester
Other:
With Other Colors:
Death Pit Offering (For powering up my guys or maybe splashed in different colors?)
Blood Funnel (Thought this might be good when mixed with other colors?)
Vicious Betrayal (For green pumps?)
Wicked Reward (For green pumps too)
As for the other cards that i'm pretty sure I want:
Reanimation:
Oversold Cemetery (Gonna try this out even with my small cube)
Sac Creatures:
Viscera Seer (I want to try this card before removing it)
Abyssal Gatekeeper
Butcher of Malakir
Sac Spells:
Bodies to Sac:
Dusk Urchins (Drawing Cards and a body to sac)
Other:
Hunted Horror (Making them sac stuff so hopefully the two 3/3 wouldnt be a problem)
Please let me know what you think of these cards/my chosen cards. Once I get that, i'll create and incorperate these changes into my cube and come back with my list and how it worked out.
I was also going to throw my green pump ideas out, and then I can stop bugging you all
Thanks again for all your help!
