with the way that wither works, if your opponent Giant growths his cinderbones, your umbra becomes useless. If at any point your creature has 0 toughness, it is put into the graveyard as a state-based action. It is not actually destroyed.
Umbra's only protect against destruction (be lethal damage or by a card much like terror) it does not protect against lowering the creatures toughness to 0.
As far as i know, if your opponent manages to stick a -1/-1 counter on your creature, then tries to destroy it, the totem armor kicks in, saves the creature, but it wont remove the -1/-1 counter

1. Isochron scepters imprint ability is triggered not activated. there is a difference that make a HUGE impact
and you are correct, if your opponent has allowed you to imprint a card, it means that the trigger has resolved. by that time, you get priority again before he can cast disenchant which will then allow you to use the actual activated ability of playing the exiled counterspell to counter his removal.
your opponent can respond to the enter the battlefield trigger by removing the isochron scepter in which case you can choose not to use the "may" ability and exile no cards
pretty much, once your opponent has allowed you to exile counterspell, they are ☺☺☺☺ out of luck

Does Lotus Cobra's landfall ability use the stack? can it be responded to? I know generally that activated mana abilities such as llanowar elves cannot be responded to or use the stack. Is lotus cobra's landfall considered a mana ability?

You still deal lethal damage to the creature. Indestructibility just prevents the creature from dying due to lethal damage. 2 is lethal damage, the creature just wont die from it

yup, thats exactly what it means. However when the counter tries to resolve it will be countered on resolution because Misdirection is no longer a legal target since it has finished resolving. This really only matters if you misdirect something like Mana Drain where another effect actually depends on the spell resolving. If you misdirect a mana drain targeting misdirection, the mana drain will fizzle and they will not get the 5 mana

Pull from eternity lets you bring back an exiled card like one hit with a Path. Other than that, I don't think that there are any others that let you bring back exiled cards

changing Schemes is a special action that doesn't use the stack and as such cannot be countered. However any triggered abilities that may happen because of a scheme change do use the stack and are awesome stifle bait

all readers in this thread please be informed that it was a personal opinion that the call would be a waste of time. It speaks on my personal opinion and not the opinion of the DCI Judge community as a whole. Helping players out is an important part of judging and the judges are happy to do so no matter what the call actually is. Some people have PM'd me and informed me that they were offended and that it reflects badly on the Judge community and I am here to say that this speaks on a personal level and does not reflect the beliefs of the rest of the judge community.
now all I have to do is wait for the red text to appear on the bottom of my posts with spamming infractions and anxiously await the messages in my inbox.
Just wanted everyone to know that judges are here to help you and assist you in any way possible no matter what the call
Your post was your misguided and inappropriate personal opinion, and that's fine - the user backlash takes care of that. Posting to grip about the mods and complain, not so much fine. Thread locked rather than trying to delete all this argument. -Woap
the part that helped me the most is that revealing the card with ninjitsu as the cost of the ability. it just seemed to me that after returning the creature, how is the opponent supposed to know that you are planning on using ninjitsu without you actually putting that card into play? now that i know you have to reveal it first, it makes more sense

Insufficient randomization no longer exists so the answer is no,
Insufficient shuffling is not a game loss.
I am a level 1 judge and I would find it very difficult to find a judge that wouldn't say "So what, continue with your game" then go back to the other judges and complain about how that was a complete waste of time.

well first off in Magic there are special abilities that certain cards have, just so happens that Kicker is one of those abilities granted to certain cards and Sphinx of Magosi is not one of those certain cards. Sphinx has an activated ability that can be used any time the player has priority. It just so happens that your opponent has priority before damage but after blockers are declared. It is perfectly legal for your opponent to activate Sphinx's ability as many times as he chooses (assuming he has correct resources to pay for it), and thus make the defending player take more damage.
So yes, he can activate it after no blockers are declared but before you take damage

at FNM's your opponent must answer you honestly. However at competitive and Professional REL's (such as 5k's PTQ's and the second day of GP's and PT's) you can lie all you want. So if you are ever at a big event and your opponent asks you how many cards you have in hand just say "I have 47 lightning bolts" and just look at the face they give you.
Also lying is especially useful for cards that search for things and remove them like Extirpate, and Cranial Extraction. You might be running 4 Force of Wills but when your opponent looks through your deck and only finds 3 (because he/she missed the 4th, and you are not deliberately cheating by hiding it from them) you can lie and say you are only running 3 or you can lie and say you are running 28 of them. Just remember at FNM's your opponent must answer honestly but at big events feel free to lie your ass off

is the creature just returned to your hand?
How does the opponent know that you are actually going to ninjitsu when you return the creature?
When would be the appropriate time to stifle?
seems to me that he gets an advantage of seeing what you are putting into play before he has the opportunity to counter
