I agree with you for the most part. Especially that it is far better than the small fry lists most people are running. The Spark Trooper is the best card in the deck. However i don't agree with the assessment of Legion Loyalist. I think he is a solid option because he will make your elite's and champions much better. He is overrun in red. If you combine him with frontline medic it kinda gets even crazier. He is your alpha swing. Here is my list.
With Legion Loyalist I was mostly thinking that it was too slow. It does sort of give you a powerful alpha swing, but I didn't really need that. I just shoved for a ****-ton of damage every turn and hoped to race aggro and swarm control. Legion Loyalist is more of a skirmishing card where you care about the intricacies of the combat phase. I understand why it can be good though, sort of in the same way Pyreheart Wolf can be good.
Here's a list that I'm not sure about and haven't tested much:
This deck tries to survive into the mid-game with Bonfire of the Damned, Lingering Souls, and single-target kill-spells. Then it plays powerful, hasty threats to quickly end the game.
Aurelia, the Warleader - Without any other creatures in play she's strong (with vigilance and flying, so you can block on their turn to race well), and with other creatures, it's almost always a guaranteed kill (especially with potential burn/reach in the tank for my next upkeep).
Spark Trooper - The lifegain is good against aggro, and the haste/damage is good against control. Paired with Silverblade Paladin it's individually 12 damage (with trample and lifelink attached to it).
Silverblade Paladin - Helps out the other cards, mostly. I can see some people cutting this, but the upside of silverblade->spark trooper/thundermaw/aurelia is incredible. It also represents 4 damage itself, which isn't too bad for a 3-drop.
Runechanter's Pike gets big with my token spells. Boros Charm can protect my creatures, give a creature double strike (potentially one that is equipped with Runechanter's Pike), or reach for 4 damage.
you can go to 4x rally the peasants and potentially add in 2-4x fencing ace to take advantage of that synergy. there are obviously a lot of ways to build this.
spark trooper is better than hellrider. it lets you race vs. aggro and has great synergy with silverblade paladin. there are great hellrider lists but they're significantly different than mine.
or you can make a slower list with bonfire/aurelia's fury/aurelia warleader/lingering souls.
legion loyalist is terrible. war falcon is playable instead of boros elite, but I like the elite more at the moment.
frontline medic is playable if the meta calls for it. it's a maybe card.
At the end of the day, enough people think its "okay" to do mana-weaving in one way or another, at one point or another, you have to do it. You'll be at a disadvantage, perhaps a significant one, if you don't.
You can do this and shuffle afterwards. Most people will be okay with it (do it before the game while they aren't looking! It will still give you an advantage!), and it should stack your deck favorably. It's also common to look through your deck and 'disperse' clumps or groups of lands. Do this too!
When picking up your cards after a game and mixing them with your library, you can evenly mix the lands with the spells and creatures before you combine them with your library. You wouldn't want to clump the lands, because that would be stacking your deck against you! May as well go for gold!
All of these advantages are mostly negated with a lot of shuffling, but nobody likes shuffling.

Thundermaw Hellkite - Reliable source of damage, and strong with Silverblade Paladin and Aurelia, the Warleader.
You could try to bring in Thragtusk and Farseek, although the mana is difficult with Silverblade Paladin, Spark Trooper, and Aurelia, the Warleader.
Any suggestions are welcome!

This deck uses Tokens + Hellrider, Intangible Virtue, or Rally the Peasants to do damage.
Faithless Looting gives card filtering, advantage with Lingering Souls and Rally the Peasants, and spells in the graveyard for Runechanter's Pike.
Runechanter's Pike gets big with my token spells. Boros Charm can protect my creatures, give a creature double strike (potentially one that is equipped with Runechanter's Pike), or reach for 4 damage.
Potential cards:
Searing Spear - Removal and reach.
Silverblade Paladin - Good offensive card. The double-strike is good with Runechanter's Pike and Rally the Peasants. Fencing Ace also fits these synergies.
Troublesome cards:
I don't know if anyone will be running either of those in their 75 post-rotation. There are probably more cards that destroy tokens I'm forgetting.

Case closed. Mana-weave.
