I have a land base question about Dredge. Generally the fetches of choice are Mire and Foothills, and I understand why. My question is are Verdants viable in lieu of Foothills? I own a play set of Foothills that are in use, but hate swapping lands back and forth between decks.

Looking to brew up something for local FNM fun. I have not really touched standard in almost two years and thought this would be pretty fun for under $100. I just want to go fast and hard like I did with mono red heroic. Obviously the silly low curve is a must. The dig and refuel potential between Bomat, Insolent and Smuggler's feels solid on test draws. No question that I will be folding to any game past turn six or two, but that such is mono red. The only cards I do not like are
Eager and Village but I was hard pressed to find other good low drop options and figured at least with those two scry is never bad (nor is another non-vehicle artifact) and if Villager happens to flip cool, but if hot it is a haste vehicle fuel or turn one. Go ahead and tear me up on this if you want to, but any constructive criticism would be highly appreciated.
I picked up 7 Wonders and all the expansions last week and we have been enjoying it greatly so far. I highly appreciate how easy to pick up to play the game is, while still having a strategy level regarding how to build to both benefit yourself and try and deny your opponents what may benefit them more.

Yeah, some of the Zen fetches are high only because the on color choices (Onslaught) were not available. Most of them will be coming down a bit I think.

I am working on this deck atm (going to wait until after Khans launch to start playing it so I can use my on color fetches) and am looking for a little feedback. Two things to note, I only have two Coronets because that is all I own atm. Similarly I only have the one Canopy in the list because it is all I have right now and am just using the Gemstone Mines for mana fixing until I can get more Canopy in the future.
I do understand your argument and perspective on the matter, however when you get into a situation with housemate the concept of splitting the residence bills is something you are going to be stuck with regardless of if you use something or not UNLESS such options were discussed before you even moved in together.

I feel like it is just too soon to really think hard about rebuilding the deck until we can see the full spoilers to see if there will be enough pump to really make it worth while.
He is running fetches to thin the deck.

I don't have any fetches so I hope you guys are right about them being inexpensive. But I have my doubts, primarily because of Thoughtseize. Like the Onslaught fetches, it's a reprint of a popular card worth a lot of money. Thoughtseize in Theros is the same rarity as the fetchlands and it has never dropped below $15 (and it's been slowly going back up toward $20 lately).
Thoughtseize, at the time of reprint, was still pretty expensive and then quickly dropped to be a sub $20 card. It stopped at $15 because it is just that good and in demand. There is going to be a slow upward rise now because, regardless of rotation, it is a solid reprint and now Theros is being opened a lot less so there are not as many new copies entering the market.
