For anyone complaining about lack of flavor on her exile ability:
The Abzan take in orphans from the cities they conquer, so it makes sense that your opponent won't have any creatures left behind in their graveyard.
Cast new Ajani.
Second +1, hitting Goldmane or Caller of the Pride. Take other creatures for defense the other turns.
Win before the rest of this even happens.
Ult for arbitrary large life.
Cast the other Ajani.
Large life and card advantage give you time to tick up that Ajani.
Ult for something based off of your (now huge) life total.
Combo.
I have not played it. Those two things I mentioned have stopped me from looking any closer. If someone could give a rundown as to what it does well I could be persuaded to take a look next time I have free time, but if its really just a slightly better version of those crappy flash games I'll probably continue to pass.
I guess this thread was dead-ish so I felt like posting expressing why I, at least, being a fan of Magic, have not tried this other game. To at least explain why this might be slow in part.
But if magac there is sasying it's just going to be another ipad game... that doesn't give me much hopes for what the game is like.
Solforge looks like one of a million crappy card games you can find on all the free flash game sites. Which might be unfair to it, but its really stopping me from looking any closer. Oh, and their Kickstarter video was a *huge* turnoff for me.
Because you're making an Event Deck AND a standard-only Duel Deck that share most of their cards. Taking a two-color Event Deck and splitting it into two workable other decks is probably tricky, especially to make the decks play differently than each other.
Its replacing *some* event decks. Which is good, at least for replacing the Core Set event deck, as those ones aren't fully legal for very long at all.
I think its an interesting intermediate step between battle packs and event decks, but I'll have to see one to have any further opinion.

Is it just me or does the profile picture look like a really zoomed in portion of DACK FAYDEN's clothing?

It seems like Garruk is going all Dangerous Game on us and hunting other planeswalkers now. And is still heavy on the black mana corruption.
