Have you considered adding some (or more) Persist/Undying comboing in the deck? In my opinion Ghave is the go-to general for said abilities, since with Ghave's abilities you can remove the +1/+1 counters from undying guys and add a +1/+1 counter to cancel the -1/-1 counter on the persist guys. It really goes nuts when you add the black Mikaeus into the equation. You're not heavy on black so his mana could be an issue, but he's still an autowin with Triskelion in play.
I've added some undying guys now, but have yet to playtest extensively with them. I have confidence they'll work out though.

I <3 my Cromat deck. It actually uses the general (wincon is General Damage), and instead of stupid combos and goodstuffs it takes advantage of his "do anything" awesomeness with all of the Shadowmoore/Eventide hybrid auras (Shield of the Oversoul and the like), along with other solid auras and ways to fetch them up.
Pretty inexpensive mana base too, I use the 10 Pain lands, Command Tower, City of Brass, and pretty much the rest is basics. I'm just running quite a bit of mana ramp, especially colorless land search like Expedition Map, Armillary Sphere, Mycosynth Wellspring, ect so I don't have to worry about "Forest or I mulligan". I can usually cast Cromat by turn 5 or 6 at the latest, then drop and enchantment or 2 a turn with mana open for regen/bounce to my topdeck.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only Cromat player out there! I use a similar concept, with a slightly more expensive mana base. This feels like what a 5 colour deck should be, taking advantage of the universal card access, while still conforming to a theme, or at least a goal that isn't degenerate in nature.

Tyler the Creator - Goblin was a great release, I can't wait to see what's next. Book of Knots - Garden of Fainting Stars is by far the best album I heard all year, but I'd only recommend it if you like spacy experimental rock. Epic Ruins - Void Mariner and the Mystic Boogie of the Sacred Line Captures everything that's right in Classic/Hard Rock. Tom Waits - Bad As Me I'm a huge Tom Waits fan, and he's outdone himself this time.

Puscifer is awesome!
It reminds me of Primus and Mr. Bungle a lot, I really hope he tours on it (Yeah, there's some Las Vegas shows and stuff, but a real tour would be great).
I was wondering when someone would step up and defend Puscifer! There's definitely a much more experimental, less restrained sound to most Puscifer songs than any other Maynard project, but What's wrong with that?

Dark Ascension brought us another little combo piece in Strangleroot Geist.
Creature - Spirit
Haste
Undying (When this creature dies, if it had no +1/+1 counters on it, return it to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.)
Essentially, with Ghave and either Earthcraft or Ashnod's Altar, it gives us yet another infinite creature/+1/+1 counter/mana combo.

Well, it looks like we have two more potential combo piece options in Falkenrath Noble and Parallel Lives, though neither are anything groundbreaking.
Falkenrath noble 3B
Creature - Vampire
Flying
Whenever Falkenrath Noble or another creature dies, target player loses 1 life and you gain 1 life.
2/2
Parallel Lives 3G
Enchantment
If an effect would put one or more tokens onto the battlefield under your control, it puts twice that many tokens onto the battlefield instead.

That is also sort of how I want to go but I havent seen one yet.
Also as a side not has anyone ran or considered running Cauldron of Souls? I think it is really cool with Ghave as you can persist him back with 4 +1/+1 counters and continue swarming from there. He also works quite well with several of the Ghave asisstants like Juniper Order Ranger who will eat up their -/- counter on their own.
I'm running Cauldron of Souls. It's not my first pick for Ghave protection, but until I get a Dauntless Escort, it'll do. As for an aggro list, it should be pretty easy to modify any of our combo lists, just take out some tutors or combo redundancies and replace them with mass pump and other aggro-oriented cards.
My list originally had more of that intention, but the problem is that once you actually play the deck (or at least once I played the deck), you just start running into combos everywhere you go, and end up going "Wait, why am I bothering with this other stuff again?" The only way to avoid this is just not to run stuff like Earthcraft and Sigil Captain, which seems seriously suboptimal.
This exactly. If you've got a good aggro Ghave list, you'll likely end up with combo potential whether you like it or not.
For me, the EDH experience is all about unpredictability and fun, not "idyllic tutor for earthcraft, enlightened tutor for doubling season, play Ghave I win" kind of games. I'm ok with having combos in my edh deck, I would rather that not be the main win con of my deck though.
Have you tried the combo version yet? I generally am not a fan of comboing out either, but I've found that this deck can play a remarkably diverse game, despite the fact that it seems so focused on reaching infinity. If you've got the cards, I'd recommend you try it out, unless you're absolutely hellbent on an aggro/swarm approach.

I also have a Ghave deck, but don't have the budget to buy an Earthcraft. Have you guys considered Suppression Field ? I haven't tried it yet, but it seems like a good alternative to Earthcraft and Ashnod's Altar. (by alternative I mean an extra mana source for comboing)
Additionally, if I am not mistaken, it can also make equipment cheaper to equip (and other cards I currently run like Gigantomancer, Selesnya Guildmage , ...)
By the way, I love this thread! let's keep it up! =)
Suppression Field makes activated abilities cost MORE to play. Maybe you're thinking of Training Grounds, but it's not in our colours, and it wouldn't really help. Are you going the combo route, or a more straightforward aggro approach?

I am not as big a fan of adding red to this deck. I only reluctantly look at blue with the fear that I may need something more to control aggro while I get my pieces in place. Red seems like it is complicating things a bit, but to be honest I do not have enough experience with the deck to be an authority.
After testing this list a bit, it's clear the mana base can support it, so why not? Gargadon works really well.
I do have a questions regarding the list though, why Dryad Arbor?
