I'm shocked to say it, but this probably won't make it in. White's three-drops are the most competitive slot in cube for me, and best case, this is a french vanilla beater that best case gets what, two plains out of your deck? I think I actually like Alpine Guide more.
I saw her and thought she was certainly of the right powerlevel, but thought she's too durdly and my UR will be all three-drops once Otter comes out already. Then again, I think I'm still running Izzet charm so...I should be able to make room?
I do prefer this over Languish as well, though Toxic Deluge is still a few tiers above this. Is it the third-best wrath in black? I also like it more than Yahenni's Expertise -- even though it's probably closer to a Barter in Blood or a kill spell than a true wrath.
There's a lot to like here, definitely one of my favorite six-drops in green now. Don't think it's in the top 3 by power-level, but it's the kind of card I want in my cube.
It's kind of filler, but I'm always down for more low CMC artifact creatures that can go in any deck and are totally fine. Honestly, whether or not this makes the cut in my 720 is entirely based on how good the Mechagodzilla art is, but I think it'll make it.
I much prefer "most important to my cube" to "p1p1" since it reflect more of what makes cube cube to me, and also doesn't give weird priority to bombs that may not be super relevant to multiple archetypes.
Thanks so much for the write-up again here! At 720, I'm still only looking at a handful of cards, but I'm happy for a pair of new 3-mana walkers and am thrilled for Marauding Raptor and Rotting Regisaur for their interesting effects.
I really like her abilities and I think she has an interesting line of play that's both compelling for you and not needlessly frustrating for your opponents like so many 'walkers are, but I also think she's a lower power-level than we'd normally want in blue in cube. The comparison to Liliana, the Last Hope that I've seen makes me feel good, though, because the way she plays out is pretty satisfying, and even if the raw power's a little lower, only costing three mana makes a big difference. The art is great too...I think I'll test her out.
Mu Yanling, Sky Dancer
Rotting Regisaur
Chandra, Acolyte of Flame
Marauding Raptor
Kykar, Wind's Fury
Maybe:
Brought Back
Cloudkin Seer
Knight of the Ebon Legion
Elvish Reclaimer
Voracious Hydra
Bag of Holding
Pretty cool set, happy to not have 20 worthy cards like the last few.
