Currently looking for an Artist who would like to have their art featured.
I currently operate 2 blogs: The Kolat Informant, A Legend of the 5 Rings blog and The Phyrexian Arena, A Magic The Gathering blog & podcast.
I am specifically looking for an artist who is interested in doing artwork of my columnists from The Phyrexian Arena to be used for tokens on the back of my blog business cards. Any previous understanding of MtG or Phyrexia is a plus.
If you are interested, please contact me at phyrexian.arena.podcast@gmail.com.
However, I would like to see more of their reasoning for banning Seething Song.
The only reason I can see that they banned Seething Song now is due to its combination with Goblin Electromancer (now its +3 mana instead of +2) and it gets more degenerative from there. Still I just don't see it. Storm can go off on turn 3 but it only happens about 5-10%. It is more likely a turn 4 or turn 5 deck.
I would look into if the person had a history of this and if he did then a full investigation should be launched into potential banning. If not, then it could be an isolated incident but on camera, it sure looked intentional to me.
If he didn't do it on purpose, then his hand would have been place off to the right and away from his deck not as close to his deck and unorganized as it was.
I've been playing Magic off and on since Mirage and was a member of the MTGNews team (my username over there was Ertai) until 2004 when MTGSalvation came into existence.
I have some Pro level experience (Lord of the Rings, .//Hack, Vs System) just none in Magic despite having several deck designs that friends played and did well at high level Magic events. I am also a magic writer and I have a blog (and soon to be podcast) which you can go to via my signature box below.
I've been a member of MTGSalvation since 2006, just never introduced myself.
Anyone else having issues getting product for RTR? (specifically boxes)
My FLGS sold out on release day just a few hours after opening (they did a midnight sale) in which they got 108 boxes (other than the few that they kept to sell individual packs of and use for drafting).
I went back today since the store owner said they were ordering some more on Tuesday and they should be in Wednesday. I checked and the store was only 'allowed' to order 8 boxes.
Now that has made it very hard on a player (myself) who planned on competing at States this Saturday since I only have the RTR product that I have is what I used and won at the pre-release (that isn't enough btw)
Is their a distribution issue? Did WotC not print enough to meet demand?
Necropolis Regent: Amazing in Heartless Summoning Utvara Hellkite: Amazing in Heartless Summoning Precinct Captain: WG token swarm Cyclonic Rift: A one target bounce spell or a one sided bounce every nonland permanent spell? Corpsejack Menace: Not only does it work with Scavenge but it also works with a ton of the WG +1/+1 token cards from INN block. Ash Zealot: One of the best 2 drops in Red's history AND drinking the Snapcaster Haterade (C) Rakdos's Return: Discard X and Deal X damage (which could be sent to a planeswalker)? An absolute back-breaker vs. tap out control
Second print run isn't something they've ever done with a limited product. Interesting idea though.
I don't understand your comments about the heels of FTV Realms. EDH players creamed themselves over that set this year. And it can readily be found for ~$75.
Don't get me wrong - I think them calling something an "Arsenal" and making it as exclusive as a space laser was maybe someones bad marketing decision - but it's WotC, what can you do?
(And I loved the PDS - still sad to see them go. What would have impressed me more would have been them doing the rest of the colors over a 1 year span and then discontinued it. PDS Lifelink? yep. PDS Ramp? Yep. PDS Control? Why not!?)
There is a reason that most places aren't selling PDS for MSRP when someone who buys them turns around and breaks them open to resell to the store for profit. One guy came in our store and sold 20 sets of them to the store and made a killing.
To those who build Cubes / Commander decks, paying more for the product isn't cool but for people who buys / sells a lot of cards, I understand the need for a business to profit on the deal.

Rare
1RB
Players can't gain life.
Whenever a player would destroy ~this~, that player loses 3 life and sacrifices a creature.
This would be a great as a sideboard card, very narrow but still useful.

That leaves me high and dry for the next several weeks then.
No product = No deck = No play
