What am I particularily missing to become better? Besides the 2 Wall of Omens. I've been thinking about getting Venser for the Wall's affect to trigger more times, but then again there's sun titan instead. But if i get sun titans, would i need Iona?
So many problems. I also realized i need painter for my iona deck to be complete, but then what would i take out?
I'm open to all comments and alterations. I also know that mono-blue is bound not to do well without Jace 2.0, so that's why I'm also open to a complete revision to become UW Control (just as long as, again, I don't need Jace 2.0).
I've been playing with Leyline of Anticipation because the ability to play anything as instants helped me so much when my deck was much more standard (Preordain instead of Brainstorm, instant Chalice/Aether/Sphinx was always good). I took them out because I'm pretty sure a lot of people do not have the greatest view of it. Any other thoughts on this?
It's impossible for me to get the 2 best counterspells in the game (MDrain, FoW), and also impossible for me to get the best combos for control (Sensei's Top + Counterbalance, Isochron Sceptor). No real need to say my deck will break without it, be nice =(.
Aggro (aggressive decks) - just means you start fast and hit hard. You force your opponent to try to stop ur attacks and force him to use cards even though it might not be the best situation to use them. Or better yet, hit them so fast that they can't get their cards out fast enough. Two other terms are Control, and Combo.
Meta (Metagame) - it just means how much information you are given about the match before it actually happens. If you are playing with friends, you'd probably have a higher metagame than tournaments (because you'd be used to what your friends are using). The higher the meta, the higher chance you can fine tune your deck to be against your opponent.
UW (Blue White) - Everyone kind of short terms their coloured decks (especially is it's a 2 coloured deck. (UW usually means Blue White Control decks)
W = white
U = blue
B = black
R = Red
G = Green
For 3 coloured decks, there are Esper(UWB), Jund(RBG), Naya(GRW), Bant(WGU), and Grixis(BUR), these decks primarily came out of the Shards of Alara block.
I play with friends who strictly keep destroying my equipments.
everytime i send out a decent equipment, it gets raped...hard. That's the only reason why I like Darksteel. i'll try for Bonesplitter, if i can find them.
At first i didn't have a creature deck. i ran around 10, and everytime i played i held onto creatures cuz i mass equiped 1 creature. so losing one or 2 to day of judgement wasn't a big deal for me.
(About ethereal haze)
I was thinking exactly the same thing. I didn't like etheral haze nemore, but i keep them in for.. iunno. Trample decks? (This is casual...i've never seen or played against a U/B control or UW control, or even jund).
Is it possible to list modern cards? (Can't find many shops that carry Jitte, Banshee's, Loxodon, Meadowgrain, steelshaper)
Whoa.. lightning greaves. I think i'm in love, i think i saw this and skullclamp in a shop (one of each). Will pick them up indefinitely.
What i really like is Double strikers. Lifelink/Lifegain isn't what i'm aiming for. Sunspear was only in it cuz it was a low drop and cuz of first strike. Are there 2CMC drops for double strike? or am i gonna have to jump from 1CMC DS, to 3CMC Flying DS.
Also, If play with 12 creatures (4 Skirmisher, 4 Stoneforge, 4 Duelist). Can i take out Honor of the Pures? I'm not pure weenie so i fail to see that it's a better draw then say... journey to nowhere. Plus it'd make Day of Judgement less destructive.
I know for sure I need 2 more duelists. What i'm not sure about is whether or not I need Honor of the Pure, that many lands, or if Kor Outfitter helps my heavier equipments (Vengeance). Plus the concept of summoning a creature for 2, and allowing it to be equipped or allow another creature to be equipped seems very useful to me.
But the thing i hate about carrying too much lands is that around midgame or entering midgame i always end up drawing lands instead of useful cards. is there a way of going around this?
I like the concept of terramorphic expanse because it thins ur deck but it also limits my mana for that turn by 1.
I change my deck again wonder if i can get a reanalysis.
Does double strike activate "when creature deals damage" twice?
And is there some poor stigma around monochrome decks these days? or is that just in standard format?
My deck keeps changing because I'm never happy, that's why you'll see that the list doesn't add up to 60. These are the cards I used to have in the deck but took out.
Jace's Erasure, Cathartic Adept:
Until I get other Mill cards (why are they so expensive:mad:), these are staying out unless I want to mess around with a friend.

But I kept realizing I have too many counters in a deck and after they're done, I've lost too much cards to do anything (which is why i relied on the Golems so much, my friends said they were the staple of my deck.)

Unsummons x4 and Echoing Truth x2, but because I acquired Aether Adept and Sigil of Sleep, I took them out.
Meloku the Clouded Mirror and Jushi Apprentice, both acted as a finish off (forcing opponent to discard cards because they have too much, and 1/1 flying mass.
