MTG Salvation

This is the deck I'm taking to my local starcity iq and I built it with meta hate in mind.
I think it's pretty solid against the field. This deck has multiple ways to mess with devotion. Keeping the board clear or just taking the devotion card your worried about out of play. I call it slaughter fog.

I just switched to modern recently but i have play with the cards before really love them and have tested them out and done very well with the following deck. no side board yet.

I am a diagnosed sociopath and Im perfectly fine not caring its actually a lot easier and pretty great. As far as social interactions go i just walk about the normal fashion have regular conversations with people even if i dont care what they are talking about. perks are your charming, intelligent, and have a good understanding of how to manipulate others to get what you want.

If it turns out you are one dont alarm yourself and keep living life. Im perfectly normal i have never killed anyone or anything horrible like that so you should be okay too.

Well mystic genesis tickles me in a wonderful way giving me basically a draining whelk in simic colors finally its my Christmas. I feel like it could be good enough for constructed and i hope it is.

I know i haven been around in a long time but im back with a vengeance and rocking this control deck. I have been play testing like crazy with it and have made many improvements and changes to this deck. This is the third iteration and what i currently think is the best version of the deck. I have pretty good game across the board the only thing that has given me problems is the Lotleth troll but not to worry i havent seen it being played very often lately. Feed back and or ideas about the list would be appreciate thank you for your time looking over the deck list.

I have been playing this deck a lot recently testing a lot and tweaking. This deck has been Very successful so far I have only dropped 2 games in the past week. I will be playing it at fnm tomorrow night and will try and give a tournament report.

The reason this deck is well positioned in my opinion is the amount of permission involved. If you have the right hand they wont resolve a spell. Now i know a lot of people have lost faith in counterspells i was one of them for a long time. I feel there is a resurgence here due to a lot of decks slowing down and greedy mana bases lead them to play cavern of souls.

I have 1 built in defense against Cavern of Souls.... Ghost Quarter Its been more help then i originally thought because of all the utility lands that still turn up so its not dead without a cavern target.

The creature rundown is pretty simple. Snapcaster Mage is one of the strongest cards in print atm so why would you not use it in a deck based on casting things at instant speed giving you all sorts of extra value.
Clone is still good even though its 4 mana but there are so many good value creatures that you can copy and start to build your own tempo or even things up with the opponent.
Finally the Win con Manor Gargoyle He is nothing to laugh at. He is indestructible nothing can kill him at sorcery speed thats why wraths are no big deal to me at all. Secondly One mana down to have a 4/4 flying beat stick is sick. Being able to block anything until the deal time is right sign me up. You may be asking yourself what about instant speed spells and exile effects. Well The idea of a draw go deck is to play lands leave up disruption and pass the turn. You only need to cast him and attack with him when you have mana and counters available to protect him properly.

I dont need to explain counterspells to anyone and why i chose the ones i did I think they make perfect sense. I chose two Think Twice because they are there to give me some early action if i dont have a reason to counter a spell plus make sure i hit land drops a little more regularly and occasionally miracle Devastation Tide. Inspiration I havent been taken back with a draw spell like this in a very long time. It allows you to leave up counter magic/ bounce spells all while giving you the option to draw 2 cards if your opponent decides to do nothing. I can not count how many times I have Rewind a spell only to turn around and draw 2 cards from inspiration its just absurd.

Another all star Card in this deck is Cyclonic Rift. It has some great flexibility. A 2 mana bounce any none land problem spell is decent early if you cant handle Something on the stack. Late game Its even better A one sided upheaval are you Kidding me. Its such a blow out because they will often not be able to recast everything they had and have it resolve all at the same time its just unrealistic.

I hope you will try this deck out before you dismiss it. Just give it a chance to warm your heart while you cause an opponent to rage. Thank you all if your read this far.

Im not just talking about Christians in general here im talking about all religions they all have some harmful text in them somewhere that inspires people to do horrible things because of interpretation of a scripture from a holy book. I was just saying that i dont see any difference in the lines crossed when persecuting others for not agreeing with what others believe.

I have not read the rest of the forum as a quick note.

I am an Atheist because i dont see a need for religion imo religious beliefs have caused more deaths than drunk driving ever dared to. The second reason is because im not closed minded and dont want to make others feel alienated bye beliefs. Because honestly no matter how hard you believe something it wont always come true any kid ever lied to about Santa could tell you that. My point is that Religion is another form of baggage that others use to push people around and make them feel bad for living there life the way they want to.

Religion causes a lot of fights and disagreements because peoples views are drastically different. Christians are quick to put homosexuals on the chopping block but when a Muslim following there beliefs kills an infidel it is an act of terror. Its actually more terrifying to think that one is thought to be different because its more peaceful than the other. Its still wrong to bully people because your God says to do so.

I try to get people to change there minds because they dont always know what they are getting into. Religion to me is nothing more than cleverly dressed brain washing with a message of hope. Do x and y you will succeed in all things because your God is on your side. That to me is silly its just a crutch for people who have no faith in themselves and dont want to feel the responsibility of failure so they have something convenient to point to when things dont go there way Aka the antagonist of the religious tale.

Whats wrong with wanting people to learn to be responsible for there own lives, to be self aware and know who they are not who there religion tells them they are. If you have a solid plausible reason to believe thats fine but having a belief for the sake of one or just because its traditional in the family is silly and reinforces my idea of brainwashing. Im willing to go so far as to say i will have a lot of people angry at me for no reason other than the fact im not religious and refuse to believe in something they do.

I am 6'2 460 ponds.....I am pretty over weight and unhealthy bye most peoples standards but i have better endurance and play more sports than almost everyone i know. I box in rough and rowdy Competition in west VA some times.

If your going to run pillar why not also run annihilating Fire it answers more undying guys makes you over all matchup against zombies and strangle root decks better. Cut down to 3 cyclonic rift it is powerful and flexible but 3 should be fine. If you cut out the Goblins add a niv try a couple of think twice or inspiration, Maybe some fog banks would be good also.

The only thing that rtr has done and actually made me happy doing is it has creature with good abilities that are not TOO good or overpowered. so now maybe this standard none creature spells besides bonfire might matter!

I am aware im human and full of flaws just like everyone else. I know who i am and dont need anyone or anything as emotional crutch. I have been told im a sociopath before only when its a necessity. You can never really judge anyone without knowing them unless you been on the inside of there situation you most likely dont know anything about them.

I am doing pretty well over all just some problems solidifying relationships. I have been talking to this girl recently but she doesnt seem to realize im a real person :/. I have hope that things will change though. Cause i have not been so taken back bye someone for a long time.

This might sound kind of silly and a little trolly but if you wanted to have a card for a small clock that ticked every turn play curse of the pierced heart. I have played in a couple of decks recently with some decent success. But if it has to be a creature i will go with the angel of serenity or Drogskol Reaver. As for early creatures for road blocks its fog bank!

If it were me i would just want every archtype represented and viable as well as tone things down. People dont just play because of flashiness they play because the game is fun.
