We got Sphinx's Revelation last year, and had Snapcaster Mage in the same format.
The spells I've seen so far have been okay, to playable. Black's draw spell is really nice, Magma Jet is coming back. With Scry back in, I'm excited to see where the spells can go from here.

I am liking that this Garruk is the first of the four to not be using creature tokens. Not to say it's any better than the last 3, because they are miles ahead of this guy.
I wouldn't dismiss his power level while we have big creatures in Standard.

Coming from a casual player's perspective: WHAT WERE THEY THINKING? I'm not happy with these updates. The Planeswalker one sends shivers down my spine. Two Jaces being able to brainstorm every turn? Two Eldrazis? Not good.

Personally, I'm not huge on the metal genre as much as I was, and I don't find a lot of Magic players in my area are. I actually found the more I got into Magic, the more I drifted away from the genre, and got into other genres that tickled my fancy far more.
I'd go with Industrial and it's many, many subgenres, and goth rock.

Wondering how these boards take to actual goth rock, and not the stuff that gets falsely labelled.
Personally, I'm a huge fan of Fields of the Nephilim. Their albums beyond The Nephilim are a bit weaker, nonetheless I'm very fond of Dawnrazor, and From Gehena to Here. Some of the other bands I'm really into are Arctic Flowers, Alien Sex Fiend, early Joy Division, Christian Death, early Bauhaus, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and X-Mal Deutschland.

I buy stuff when I can, generally digitally. I rarely buy CDs nowadays, only if I really enjoy an album I will buy both a digital and physical copy of it.

Budget isn't really Modern's problem right now. I want to see a year without bannings, and a natural evolution of the metagame as sets are released. A bit like Legacy, if you will. I remember people crying over Nacatl's banning over a year ago. People have moved on, playing other decks. I don't disagree with either banning, but I think it may have been a bit drastic considering it's Modern PTQ season.

Rubblehulk is crazy. I can imagine this in standard, throwing this down in any sort of ramp strategy is pretty nuts alone. Yeah, it dies to removal, etc, but it also kills almost anything in combat in the early game should your opponent have some dumb combat tricks. It can also blowout games in Jund in the late.
All in all, I expect this to see some play in the early parts of the new Standard.
