Arian: I think you have to help me.
Scum won't have to deal with me if I die from starvation.
You, Iso, Karn, and LnG are the four people that most need the vitality. Unfortunately, I can probably only help one of you, because Tomorrow Night, you won't want me targeting you -- I am both Madoka and Homura, depending on the night.
I'll very likely be targeting one of these four toNight. I won't say which for fear of disruption, but suffice to say that I'm painfully aware that I can't help everyone at this point.
Question: would it be better for me to publicly announce my target so that nobody targets him/her, or should I WIFOM it and try to predict the kill?
There are obvious problems with both of these options: if I announce who I will target there will be no chance of catching scum, but if I WIFOM it, there is a lot of risk in townies targeting that player.
Since it is getting to a point where vitality is running low for many players, I think the first option might be optimal just to ensure that nobody loses vitality unnecessarily. In this case, on Alway Eteem, it would essentially protect myself and another player.
@Meg: my ability rounds down for me and up for my target. So if, say, 15/2 = 7.5, I would end up at 7 and my target at 8. I lost a total of 7 last night, yes. Zinda said that I lost 5, then 2 from Alway. He didn't say how much I gained before -- just that I was successful in averaging us together.
@Iso, never mind. If it makes each activation cost 3hp, that's a bit much for my hp pool to tank. So...yeah. Don't motivate me, pls.
dC really dicked me over with the -5 vitality hit. I think I should still be fine to bring people up until we get to Ruchperion for a recharge, but it's a lot closer than I'm comfortable with, and I can't bring people up as far as I would've liked (so it won't last as long).
Iso, I THINK I'm safe to motivate toNight. I'm not sure how exactly the vitality cost on your ability works, but I should be able to tank the vitality drain and then scrape by until we get back to Ruchperion. Worst case if I feel it's not safe, I might not use it. The math is complicated for me.
This is not a town attitude. If you're town, you'll Track toNight regardless of whether or not you get shot, because we're going to Ghostlands soon. It would be nice for town!Wildfire to have something to offer when we're there.
@DKings: my ability averages my vitality with my targets' vitality -- so yes, I can give Karn vitality, for example, but I'll take a huge hit to do so because he's so low. I need to crunch some numbers and figure out what my optimal play is per my reads, game state, avg vitality drain, and so forth. I don't want to default to a given plan ITT because I don't feel like having my target(s) gibbed out from under me.
Well, I guess we're staying on Alway. For what it's worth, I don't think that's a bad thing -- but we definitely need to move Tomorrow.
While I don't particularly like that Karn derphammered, I think that dC was going to be getting lynched anyway. So uhhh....time to think of anything els ehtat I wanted to say Today I guess.
@Proph: I agree that I think that dC is lying (or telling a half-truth) about his ability, but why do you say that?
Tomorrow, we should probably fill in the holes in the claims, unless someone has a very good reason not to. Assuming a scum!dC flip, we'll down to probably 3 scum, which means that we can start piecing things together off of night actions. Even if we don't end up fullclaiming, I would like targeting information from Meg, Proph, and HP, as those are the last three players that we do not have any real information on at this point.
Still not sold in the scum LnG theory. His play here has reminded me of Majora's Mask, and there's still the issue that his night actions have been generally pro-town.
Moving into Tonight, my top remaining scum leads (assuming scum!dC) are, in no particular order:
HP
Wildfire
Hans
4th and 5th place go to Meg and Proph. I don't think that Meg is scum, but if we're short a scum, that's where I'd be looking. Proph is occupying a peculiar space that happens to me sometimes where I favorably read a player and then get it stuck in my head that that player -has- to be town. See also: Azrael in the micro league game the name of which I cannot remember. I was thoroughly convinced that Az was town because I -wanted- him to be town, which bit me in the ass. I'm still scumreading the other three ahead of Proph, but he is on my radar despite my not wanting him to be.
@DKings: right, but the language used was that I lost 5 vitality, not that I lost 3 and then 2. That might be semantics and Zinda just shorthanded it, but I dunno. Admittedly I've only modded one game so far, but from that perspective I feel like I would have personally said 3 & 2 if it was two different abilities.
Hmm. I went back and looked at my PM from Zinda, and it states that I lost 5 vitality from a singular ability. I won't quote the exact language because I like living, but I consider it strongly suggested that all 5 was from one ability.
Not sure what to make of that, since Rhand lost 3 from the ability as per dC's claim. Maybe some peculiarity of Alway Eteem? That doesn't really make sense either, though.
I never think I specifically said I lacked a vote, but I do have restrictions on my vote. I've used one of three votes I have available day one.
I was thinking of just gambiting voteless earlier, but my multiple week hiatus kinda made me forget.
And then a little later:

Well I say that, but it's more I get punished for voting more than three times.

As in, my ability doesn't function if I vote more than three times.
My ability is publically confirmable, though.
Quote from HP »
(I don't say that as a way of town proof due to the game mechanic, but my ability will show up publically if it is not blocked)
So actually she could very well be the vote blocker/thief. Except then she wouldn't want to stay on Alway Eteem. IDK man, doing more research now.
I also don't believe HP is scumreading me.
The 'logical' choice is that this is dC's role. Was dC scumreading Rhand d1? I don't remember him saying anything about Rhand, but I'd have to go back and look.
ding ding ding
I am sadly not entirely an answer to our problems. Part of one, yes, but not all of it.

Explain your reads.
Who are your town reads at the moment?

This post is awful. There's no reason for scum!Karn to quickhammer town!des. We're not in LyLo.

Ah, I missed that.
