Don't count out the blue draw spells; Dig Through Time is especially nice. Also, don't cut a black two-power one drop unless your black aggro decks are 'too good'.
SCG has a SP one for about 9, and some MP for 8. Way lower than 20, but I would expect a jump soonish if the disparity is that high.
I could absolutely not imagine trying to build a foil Cube now. On a related note, TWO foil Clever Impostors were opened at my 20-ish person prerelease last night...and I didn't get either
Of course you should try it; the card is awesome and really isn't that difficult to set up to put your opponent in a difficult spot. One of the main strengths is that it is good AGAINST plainswalkers, which is very different than almost all of the other mass-removal cards. Add onto that being able to keep land/dude/equipment, and you have a winner at a mana cost that certainly is very competitive. There are lots of good permutations of permanents to keep, ESPECIALLY now that we have enchantment creatures you can keep in addition to you 'creature' selection!
And, you get to explain what the card does endlessly!
I don't know which is the right answer, but my point is not to get locked into not considering it. I will be taking notes on when it is possible to be played, as well as the situations on if it is better/worse. A split card of Mantis Rider//Lightning Angel, if you will. I don't have an opinion yet really (I'm still leaning LA), but I plan to find out.

@starslayer: Having the option to block with a 3/3 flier on t3 isn't on your list of positives. I think you are oversimplifying it a bit.
The more I think about it, the more I'm not convinced that Lightning Angel is better. You get an extra point of toughness, but you also have to wait an additional turn to play it. Against most of the decks which the toughness makes a difference (red, for burn spells), coming down a turn earlier makes as close to/more of a difference.
Testing for sure in place of Lightning Angel, with notes taken to compare which would have been better is the plan.
