Sideboard material in Modern and when it was in Standard to shut down aggressive red decks. Useless garbage in EDH.

This is why I started playing magic in the first place. It wasn't PT aspirations just making noobs cry by doing things that are perfectly fair.
Too bad it's just an opponent's yard, otherwise it'd be a fairly powerful infinite life combo piece.
Interesting defensive piece for a mill deck, though.

I was thinking the same thing. I really like that art.
Sometimes I really miss the old-school art that had a bunch of variations in style, instead of the unified style these days - I get wanting to have some kind of identity for the game as a whole, but it feels less and less interesting. Back in the day there was massive variation in art even across sets that made it all a little more interesting and eye-catching.

Ward of Bones also only affects opponents. Damping Engine can hurt you, too, though you can always just sac it to itself to shut it off.
Ward of Bones is badass.

If it was it was urza's block then I would do that.
Urza Block is king of Blocks.
I would definitely do Block EDH / Block Cube.

I think about him for Azami once in a while but he usually doesn't make the cut during consideration. I like the flavor but it's just not strong enough.
Flying Wizard is cool though.

Well, the cost is decently comparable to stuff like Comet Storm and Fireball, but one damage to each creature doesn't seem worth it in most situations. Picking off three mana dorks could be backbreaking in duels, but there are plenty of other ways to punish overcommitment in red.
Other than the fact that it deals 1 damage, which in EDH is pretty negligible, it's a non-scalable Wave of Indifference. I'd run Wave before I run that.
Messing with combat is cool, and I guess technically I'd rather have 1 damage tacked on to the effect, but Wave at least can shut down their entire board. Demoralize would generally be better in my opinion. I'd also rather run Mark for Death as potential removal + all creatures can't block.
I guess at least Wrap in Flames is slightly better than Ember Gale? At least less situational? Muh.

It works well with Eight-and-a-Half-Tails, as mentioned above (but not as good as COP or Rune of Protection: White in this case), but I think its relatively lackluster in mono-white other than that. In general, I always question, "How many times do you see multiple mono-colored decks at one table?" It's always just been too much set-up for not enough payoff overall if you're trying to use it to do more than moderately annoy a single opponent.
This seems like a pretty narrow view. All it takes is two tri-color commanders being played and you can get protection from both of them, for a low-cost three mana +W per turn. The chances of there not being any color overlap in your opponents' decks seems pretty low. This card seems pretty solid to me, although I've never actually tried it myself.
The chances of two tri-color generals not overlapping is 0%.

Though it might not be exactly what you're looking for, Zedruu the Greathearted lists should have some good swap shenanigoats that you can look into.

Your favorite big red and green dudes, your favorite blue counters.
... dot dec.
Seriously, the only extra thought is that I can use some vanilla beaters that I don't like because they don't have Trample, but want to use anyway, and sleeve them up for nights where heavy control is expected in my meta.

My friend plays it in Talrand, sky summoner. There are 2 more creeps beside Talrand. Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur and Tydespout Tyrant. And also, Polymorph with counterspells. It hurts to have Jin out on T4 or on T5... :/
Thats why I don't like that card. (but it is a great card actually)
Definitely just wanted to say this. Polymorph Package Talrand FTW.

Kamahl, Fist of Krosa is a repeatable overrun. Ezuri, Renegade Leader is similar if you've got any kind of Elf / Elf token subtheme, but obviously it's a build-around inclusion. Same for Adaptive Automaton if you think it has enough tribal support.
Mirari's Wake for 100% include in token and most GW(x) decks.
Depending on your color spread, Murkfiend Liege can be great and can do some gross ***** with mana dorks.
Garruk, Wildspeaker is phenomenal and has a cheap ultimate that can do great things in tokens.
Someone else mentioned it, but Cathars' Crusade is an all-star in both my token decks.
Overwhelming Stampede can be a bit awkward in token decks since you might not have a big enough dude to make it worthwhile. Overwhelm is a good one that was just reprinted, too. <3 Convoke.
Selesnya Guildmage if you're not already running it - pulls double duty in making tokens and buffing your army.
Baru, Fist of Krosa without landfall tricks might be a bit too slow, but reliable +1/+1 might be enough depending on the build.
Junkyo Bell with trample or ways to grant trample can do lots of work with tokens.
Hope some of that helps.

With a lower curve in a 5-color deck, I would say 38 lands if you have access to a lot of fetches, 41-44 if you don't.

This. Cheap/free sac outlets are great for exchanging control of stuff and then stealing back your own junk. Claws of Gix, City of Shadows, Phyrexian Altar, Golbin Bombardment. Lots of good options out there.
There's also Gilded Drake, Avarice Totem for repeated exchanges, Conjured Currency, Legerdemain, Phyrexian Infiltrator, Shifting Borders, Switcheroo, Puca's Mischief... With a sac outlet you can swap, sac and Homeward Path your stuff back.
Though it might not be exactly what you're looking for, Zedruu the Greathearted lists should have some good swap shenanigoats that you can look into.

Stampede Driver might be too small of an effect.
Tromp of the Domains is a thing but might be too small for the cost in a 3-color deck.
Soul of Theros.
Stir the Pride.
Overwhelming Stampede can be a bit awkward in token decks since you might not have a big enough dude to make it worthwhile. Overwhelm is a good one that was just reprinted, too. <3 Convoke.

Bow of Nylea is slow but generally quite good. Nylea, God of the Hunt herself can do some buffing too. Spear of Heliod is another holy artifact that can help.
If your meta is sac-effect dependent, Angel of Jubilation could do some heavy work.
Crescendo of War is slow but can be great.
Dictate of Heliod is a bit on the higher side for anthem effects but Flash can make for a fantastic combat trick. There's also basic anthem effects like Gaea's Anthem and Glorious Anthem and Kongming, "Sleeping Dragon". Marshal's Anthem is a killer anthem effect. Gerrard's Battlecry and Leonin Sun Standard are decent similar mana dumps for late game.
Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, obvi.
Junkyo Bell with trample or ways to grant trample can do lots of work with tokens.
Hope some of that helps.
