I would say the flavortext goes great with the card considering how Maelstrom Wanderer is played in EDH. The artwork, hmm I suppose in this case it is either one entity as two or a pair of "mischief makers" as one.

So far each God Weapon has had good Synergy with each God. So I am holding my opinion about this until the red one is revealed.
Thassa and her Bident: Unblockability, piracy, and a way to end stalemates.
Nylea and her Bow: Deathtouch, Trample, +2/+2 buffing, +1/+1 counters, lifegain, recycling cards, anti-air.
Perhaps the red one will do something awesome since it just be simply redundant if the god and his weapon both granted haste.

Why have I not updated my Shirei decklist with its playtesting? Well I figured I should also post my more finely tuned deck that revolves around Molimo, the Maro-Sorcerer. Though yes I'm still fine tuning the Shirei Shadowborn deck.
Such a rinky dink deck that one would think a joke, I didn't think it would do much and I was pretty right however I did laugh quiet a bit whenever I would stop a whole swarm of enemies with Lost in the Woods.
Q: What cards don't work here?
A: Cards that don't work: Primal Surge, Genesis Wave, and Garruk, Caller of Beasts. The first two have a larger chance in this deck of shooting yourself in the foot when you lost a win condition. Garruk CoB doesn't work here as the deck is creature lite.
Q: How do you win?
A: Swinging at them with a very fat creature. Some of the cards like Fireshrieker, Triumph of the Hordes, and Rogue's Passage allow to get through the necessary damage to win.
Q: What if Molimo gets tucked away and if so what have you done about it?
A: Molimo has never been successfully tucked away for all my games. I have had a few close calls but then I tend to use Greater Good as a way to protect Molimo. I mean whats +2 casting cost compared to losing your only real threat when your in a deck focused on churning out lands.
Q: What if you haven't been able to reach 7 mana to cast Molimo? Where do you go from there?
A: That has only happened a couple of times, but I found a reliable substitute in Dungrove Elder who is basically a Molimo Jr. with Hexproof instead of Trample.
Q: How good would you say Dungrove Elder has been for you?
A: Very. A lesson I learned is that many people have more targeted based removal instead of sweeping spells. Eventually the Elder grows up easily to be this 12/12+ Hexproof threat.
Q: How so?
A: -Primeval Bounty offers three things, the 2nd & 3rd are the most important to this deck. Cast a Rampant Growth to put three +1/+1 counters on a guy and get an extra land for effectively +4/+4 a good portion of the time? Awesome. 3 life for each land that comes into play under my control? Always welcome.
-Boundless Realms has really made my Elder or Molimo vastly stronger and has made spells that count how many forests I have like Howl of the Night Pack into very handy spells.
-Finally Into the Wilds has served me well in that it has made me a guy who only had 4 lands to everyone else's 7 into that guy with 9 lands in a few short turns.
Q: You got so much possible lands, why not Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary or large creatures like Emrakual, the Aeons Torn or Darksteel Colossus?
A: I have found that mana makers are not welcome in this deck like Rofellos or the rest of his mana making brethren as this deck cares about my land count not my mana count like the Omnath decks rely more on. As for large creatures I rarely pack them in here aside from Woodfall Primus and Sylvan Primordial because I know exactly whats going to happen: Its going to get stolen somehow.
Q: Shouldn't be in here I mean he fits with the theme.
A: I personally don't like it after how many times I would only see it used with Prime Time by using Tooth and Nail. Though its still a good card and I do recommend it if you intend for land to be a strong fighting force.
Q: 50 Lands seems a bit excessive doesn't it?
A: Not really when you got many of your ramp spells and the fact that cards like Howl of the Night Pack, Molimo, Maro-Sorcerer, Dungrove Elder, Timbermaw Larva and a few other cards actually care about how many lands you got. Along with why one of my pet peeves in EDH is being stuck at 3-4 possible mana for what feels like the longest time.
Q: Budget Version for those of us with not as much cash to spend?
A: Take out the fetch lands like Verdant Catacombs, Wooded Foothills, Misty Rainforest, Windswept Heath, and the Cavern of Souls... then replace it all with forests. Its no secret that many of the more expensive decks than mine run expensive lands that easily would cost you 120$ if not more.
Q: You run a shockingly low amount of creature tutor spells, shouldn't you run more?
A: Nope. You only got eight creatures total including Molimo. This isn't an Elf EDH Deck where you need to have eight ways from sunday to tutor up an elf.
Q: No Forest Walk?
A: When you got Whispersilk Cloak and Rogue's Passage there is no need to have only a limited way to be unblockable.
Q: In case of a boardwipe that isn't Terminus... how do you recover?
A: If it isn't a mass LD spell then I simply recast Molimo for nine instead of seven mana.
Q: What hurts your deck the most?
A: mass LD spells. Elder and Molimo, both are strong and do act as the backbone at times but are highly reliant on how many lands/forests you control since they are only 0/0s to begin with anyway. So if you get your land destroyed and only got Elder for instance as your defense... "your up the creek without a paddle". The only way I can recover from that is either to
A) Draw more lands
B) Have had a Crucible of Worlds out prior to the LD spell.
Q: What is your defense against fliers?
A: Traproot Kami and Sylvan Primordial for their reach capabilities. Though its no surprise I haven't devoted one non-creature spell to anti-air.
Q: What is the most destruction you have caused in a game?
A: T&N into Sylvan Primordial to target a few enchantments and Terastodon on blowing up lands. Then on the same turn casting Creeping Corrosion that had only lost me a Sol Ring and Lightning Greaves at worst.
Q: What recent sets do you feel like have really made your deck grow well?
A: M13 and M14. Strange as it may sound those are the ones that have supplied me with excellent tools for Molimo to be better at his job.
Q: Why Lost in the Woods? Seems kinda Junky.
A: I actually like it because it has saved my keister more than one time by someone who thought they were going to get the last laugh. Along with even if I drew eight forests for my opening hand and first draw, that still leaves me with 30% of my deck that is possible forests to go "hide in".
