assume the preview art is command tower, then its kinda lame that they released that as a judge promo as well. I know people like pimping out their commander decks and that card goes in all of them, but to release two special foil versions of a card in a few months seems like an odd choice.

ok so going back and rereading the Lich. I like it more. I missed that you could cast a card from any graveyard and the creature does not die at the end of the turn. Stupid school making me tired and misread new cards. I will have to try it out and see how it does.

Silver, was he able to explain why it has new art. The mountain has the same art as a mountain from Alpha. It does not seem to make sense that wizards would have created new art for one type of a land and not another.

I would much rather see them print cards like Rolling Earthquake or Ravages of War. As a judge and a cuber, I would love to get my hands on some these cards cheaper then buying English ones.
Also happy to see them start printing commander cards in foil. Wonder when we will see Command Tower?

Just contactd Daaken via his website and he says he'll do alters for $10 each. Does this sound legit? Like how do I know I'm getting Daaken, the artist, not some guy wanting to steal cards and money.
If the person you contacted was through the website http://daarken.com/ then yes its him.

Best
-6th ed rules: Made the game so much easier to understand.
-Modern Card Frame: After a few issues, such as white and artifact looking too close and no colored symbols, these frames are much better
-Introduction of a variety of products outside of just sets
-Collectors number and rarity symbols
-Foils: cool things to collect or make decks/cubes more interesting
Worst
-Over keywording of things: there are a lot of abilities that just do not seem like they need to be keyworded
-Dual Faced Cards: These were an interesting design choice, but I feel that they have failed.
-Free mechanics: these do not work, WOTC should try and stop making them work.

I know it probably says it somewhere, but I can't find it. A card's color is determined by it's casting cost, not it's border (traditionally). When Cloistered Youth is transformed it has a black border, but nothing actually instructs you that it is black. Did they change the ruling on this somewhere?
Also, lets say I have a few double sided cards out and my opponent plays an Ixidron. Are my DSC's now transformed, or are they 2/2's with no abilities?
There is a dot on the type line that tells what color the card is. Its all the far left of the card.

The Lich is ok. You still have to pay for the creatures you are casting. So you could gain a lot, but will cost you a lot.

Vancouver has had a Grand Prix and hosted Canadian nationals before.
On topic, I like the look of this list. Nice to see the midwest getting some more events.
