It seems as though we've got a siting from an old friend. Captain Scarlet is an old rumor monger we haven't seen in a while, and this is exactly the kind of way he would spoil things. So I'm guessing there's some credibility to this card.
Also, rumored card is rumored card. This isn't called the Fact Mill. New Card Discussion is for confirmed stuff.
EDIT: About the card, I think it is awesome. A few fetches, these things and some Archive traps and you can really destroy a deck pretty quickly. One more decent mill card and I think the deck might happen. Things like wall of Ice and wall of denial will let you stall pretty well while you try to let these guys go to work. I'm not sure Tome Scour is gonna cut it though.
Person unawares is unawares. If you don't know who captain scarlet is then don't post about this being a fake.
Yes sir!
Hail captain scarlet and his awesome crab of milling....IF it's real, mill is looking better and better. This as a first turn drop may be almost as disruptive as a first turn duress. Assuming you have additional lands lined up.

Nothing wrong with moving a possible card into the main Mill... it's not like it's never happened before. The Captains were our rumormonger heros from the SHA/EVE days before Zesty appeared.
Probably says mill target opponent, but if it doesn't then it could be a good Johnny card for extended fun.
I hope it's real. Nothing really broken about it, but the cost does seem kinda low since you could get a free mill like every turn. Maybe at 2U or 1U, but just U is really good.
Then again, maybe they actually want mill to be viable. This with the trap will go a long way to making that happen.

This card in GU would be amazing with Harrow, Fetches, Khallini Heart Expedition, etc.
So you say that Landfall combos with land search? No goddamn way.
As a 1-drop, this is amazing in Limited. Imagine playing it on turn one and managing to get 8 lands in play over the course of the game. That's 24 cards off the opponent's library + 7 cards in starting hand + at least 8 cards drawn on each turn. The fun thing is, no one will probably kill this little guy simply because he's not a threat in any other way.
ugh, I'm so damn sick of wizards pushing mill, it's an awful, terrible strategy but at least the thing is a one drop.
Considering the strategy is rarely viable in any tournament format (Owling Mine and High Tide are the only ones I can think of that aren't Fog based), I think it's nice to see them give it some solid love this time around.

this is slightly more disruptive than a first turn duress if you ropponent has no valid targets <_<
like how is this disruptive at all. that being said, if control is an option, it's a pretty valid win condition in limited.
oh... it's uncommon. well that hurts a bit. you really want 2 of these in a deck. still, on turn 1, this kills by turn 13, or 14 pretty reliably. it's also a pretty miserable blocker. i'd prefer a 0/3 for 1U
Recent discussions here and elsewhere have made it clear that there seems to be a group of players who consider blue and control synonymous, as if they somehow started playing a game with four identical and "bad" colors that do nothing interesting because they just "turn men sideways" and then true, glorious blue, the only thinking person's color.

almost as disruptive as Duress? NO. there is nothing "disruptive" about mill against most decks, until the final card is milled and you die. Taking cards off the top of the library doesn't impact cards in hand or your ability to draw some gas you need, and really doesn't disrupt the player whatsoever. Only certain decks with a very small number of win conditions that could end up in graveyard is milling early a potential threat, and even then its pretty random.
Thats my issue with mill in general as a "plan". Until you actually win, milling doesn't necessarily mess with the opponenent at all, it just uses his library like a life total to reduce to zero. and there are many cheap ways to reset/shuffle libraries if the strategy ever gets too good.
Milling yourself with dredge or the pyromancer ascension or some other reason you'd want cards in the GY early seems like the best uses for mill to me, but its still too random. Id rather have a looter effect!

True dat! A strategy can only be viable if they offer the tools.

Indeed. It's nice that there's a batch of cards too. It used to be that there's be one or two janky cards per set for milling. Not enough to actually use, but enough to dilute the set.
And I like how it's a direct threat to make fetching not the no-brainer it was. And I like how stuff like the Pyromancy Ascension then can counter milling a bit. I hope to see a little more of that.

Do you mean that if they fetch you mill? Because Landfall only works for your lands, so that still makes fetching a no-brainer. A land you need and six off the top? Why not?

No I mean that fetching leaves them 1 card less in the deck. One less land in particular. Mind funeral (and thus mill in general) becomes more powerful with all the fetch/harrow people are proposing.
[edit: I forgot about the Archive Trap, but yes, that too.]
oh the crab? yea it's a fun card, guesses on the name please
For those wanting Token Love:
It would be terrible if the 7/1 elemental token was only going to used just once for Elemental Appeal, wouldn't it. I think we should give 7/1s more love, don't you? What?! A 7/1 for :symr:!!! IN-!!-SANE!!:D

I believe he's referring to the previously mentioned Archive Trap, not this. But yes, you are correct, Landfall doesn't work that way.
