Not sure if this goes here, but the guidelines sticky doesn't have anything against it...
It came to my attention in other users' posts that most of us find it difficult to find new cards on your spoiler. The problem is that you keep pushing old cards up on the update list when often adding inconsequential info (ie artist name, collector number, etc).
I recommend you guys either:
- Just leave the update area for new cards
- Make a New section and an Updated section
Navigating your spoiler is otherwise confusing, and no one really wants to scroll through 100+ or so cards trying to rely on our faulty memories to tell which few additions are new.
Since you're the best source of info around, it leaves people with no other choice. I am quite sure people agree with me that old cards shouldn't get "bumped" just because of the addition of inconsequential information.
i think this should actully be in the spoiler thread itself, but good job going thru the rules first.
the other option is of course puting the date and time update and the date and time first added, or some sort of color coding or icon to show new vs updated
what would be considered *new* though. There would have to be a limit like "last 24 hours" for it to be considered new before being integrated with the full spoiler.
I could get behind this idea. I like Lunan's idea of an icon or color coding scheme (or even appending [new]/[update]) after each card in the recently updated section. This would make it easier to find things.
As for what makes a new card, that should be apparent from the OP...new entry in the spoiler...name, type and text being the most relevant.

Not a bad idea. A new card section(with a 24 hour time limit).
Although in some ways it's a touch sad and just encourages those who use the forums exclusively for new information without bothering to read through posts and post themselves.
I'm split on the idea so if it stays the same i'm fine and if it changes that's good too.
Awww man, I have to agree here. I check the site every day during rumor season. We can see that there's been new cards added by the number at the top (167/180), but how do you find them? I've always just resorted to reading through the entire list day after day. I think the OPs suggestion to maintain a list for new cards and a list for updates is a reasonable one. Or if that's too much work I'd much rather just have a list of new cards instead of all the minor updates. I think if someone was really concerned with a particular card's artist or collector's number, they could easily scroll down and check that card (already knowing it's name/color/etc.) to see if that info has been updated yet. On the other hand if you're really only interested (like a lot of us) in knowing what the new cards are, it's tough to just scroll down because they could be anywhere in the list. Of course I appreciate the work everyone does to compile the list and I don't want to sound like I'm complaining. This is the best place to go for rumors and I just want to keep it that way.
Posts like these belong in the partial spoiler.
If you look, there is one there right now.
I certainly am looking into options of displaying a difference between updates and additions for next spoiler.
