Wikisysops, please pay some heed to this and see that the time-formatting is standardized/standardised.
This is an easy one; I like DD MM YYYY/DD MM, YYYY. Personally, I like commas... but really, so long as it's in what I'm used to, which is non-confusing 'European' formatting.
I hope this doesn't spiral like other things.
:/
Edit:
Just for the sake of opinion, that's all.
Quote from oracle of truth/Oracle of Truth »
Usually there are no commas in European dates, they are separated by full stops (e.g. "15.08.2008" in Germany) or by slashes (e.g. "15/08/2008" in Great Britain). But as I said, we should really stick to the format Wizards uses, i.e. "Friday, August 15, 2008" (German equivalent would be "Freitag, 15. August 2008"). Oracle of Truth 06:32, 15 August 2008 (EDT)
He's right.:p
So, Wikisysops, could you please pay some heed to this and see that the time-formatting is standardized/standardised.
Using DD MM YYYY would be fine for large amounts of dates, such as timelines and the like.
Because I noticed a message, I'm popping in.
Anyway, after consideration, oracle of truth, I think that only when citing Wizard's articles should the date be in their format; but in other things, it should be DD MM [comma] (while I'm cool with having no comma, I feel that the omission thereof simply looks poor, to me at least) YYYY.
When writing a date in an article, I've seen heaps of instances of Month DD, and that's the way the birthdays are written, I believe.

We should have decided on this type of things way back in 2006.
ETA:
I'd post again, to show an update, but no, can't, shouldn't.
I can't change my vote. I think the time should be given and written in articles as DD MM YYYY, the same way as autosigning (~~~~). That means changing the announcement/birthday/join date/major events/written mentions of time.
Btw, can someone make a standardized date template (for birthday and join date) or something?
ETA 2:
Speaking of time-formatting and geographic location, I'm used to "/" (forward) types of slashes, instead of backslashes or hyphens. I live in far south; 'Terra Australis', "land of the south".
Sticking with DD MM, YYYY. I don't see why autosigning would be the thing we're going by.
I don't have any hard numbers on this, but I'm targeted more often than a black guy driving a beat-up sedan with a broken tail-light and no license plate, and Cy's well aware of that.

Sorry, but I'm just fishing for opinions now.
I'm used to MM DD, YYYY so that is my preference.
15 August 2008
Insures no confusion
Actually, one tends to agree with this.

like its easier to read 21-8-2008 then 21 08 2008
plus i believe its best to go with DD-MM-YY(YY) like 21-08-2008 or just 21-08-08
but then again... i live in holland.
Thank you for Heroes of the Plane Studios for this awesome sig.
