(prefacing this message by saying that I'm thinking out loud)
Thought #1 -I wonder why Editors come and go. Some will edit for a couple weeks then disappear. Some might come back after a hiatus while some are never heard from again on the wiki.
Thought #2 -Part of me wishes we had more active Editors, but then again I wouldn't be able to go over everyone's edits if we did have tons of Editors. No, its not my job to go over everyone's edits but somehow I'm one of the top editors and feel like "Charles In Charge". I've heard an expression somewhere, something like "its lonely at the top".
(ok, turning off my "thinking out loud" thought processor)

Sorry.

Part of me wishes, too.
Mmm... I've raised merged account creation or whatever in the thingo place, so we can discuss it and stuff.
Perhaps, what we should be doing, however, is asking for suggestions?
I mean, the wiki itself probably doesn't have all the appeal the MTGS forums have; perhaps due to the fact that edits aren't shown to the public, perhaps due to the fact it involves serious work, perhaps due to the fact it's not as entertaining, interactive, lighthearted, or something?
My apologies with my belated perusal and replying to your thread, GeoMike.
