I was slightly upset about all the non-working links. Luckily, ther is this message in the daily update.
As some of you have noticed, some older articles spit out 404 Not Found errors when you try to access them. These are all articles that were from the old website before our redesign (for those not aware, we revamped this here website in 2014), and mostly include articles from 2006 and earlier. Due to some unfortunate timing, the archive server that hosts those pages has been turned off before all of the redirects are in place. I know that sucks for those who like to explore old content.
The good news is that the content isn't lost or even really unavailable. Redirects for those pages are all in the works and are expected soon, but in the meantime, most missing articles have actually been migrated to the new site and can often be found using this website's search functionality.
Now all they have to this is get that search functionality working properly .....
I was not that concerned about the old links, but I much prefered the old site, so I'm not thrilled about the articles having migrated, though I suppose it was only a question of time.
But while they work on getting things done, my ability to do a lot of updates is hampered; saying "most missing articles have been migrated" seems like a massive overstatement to me, as close to half of the old articles I try to access take me to 404 instead.
FYI - If you search using quotation marks around it, it'll look for that exact phrase or name. It was really helpful tracking down where all the story content went because I could search by title.

Article search doesn't work at all right now. Fortunately, I've managed to get around it by simply using Google. It's what I should have done from the beginning...
Edit: Weird, I could do it from the search bar in the upper-right corner (though I still can't find the article I'm looking for...).
I'm still hoping that the redirects will start functioning.
In the mean time, people are starting to replace the links and seem to have found a way to locate them on the new website. The search function doesn't help for me, it gives almost random results. So, what's the secret?

In fact I just googled the name of the article. But I did some preparative virtual file structure analysis at [http://magic.wizards.com/ http://magic.wizards.com/] - formerly [[magicthegathering.com]] who would redirect to [http://magic.wizards.com/en/magic-gathering http://magic.wizards.com/en/magic-gathering] now - and some html source code analysis as well. No big deal at all. Google this: <pre>"Mixing it up" site:magic.wizards.com</pre> for example. It's commendable that wizards have a suitable and consistent permalink system now. I may recomment the [http://mashable.com/2011/11/24/google-search-infographic/#Nq1vRIiqxsqF Google cheat sheet] which helps to prevent to waste a lot of time by doing online investigation. Regards

Already getting upset at Fblthp!
Edit: Spoke too soon. I was excited because I could access the old Event Coverage Archive again, but all the links in there are dead, so never mind...
Edit2: And search doesn't work either. FML, I thought I was actually going to get some Wiki stuff done today.

A new user has started converting links for expansion sets, which is really great. But we must have thousands of links, all in all
