I play Legacy and Edh. So far standard is not interesting me. Legacy and Edh is just more interesting in my opinion. Also the non-rotating factor is a big plus.

As to it's viability - sure it can win games in Vintage, but I am unsure if it will win very many matches in vintage. Not sure what to tell you strategy wise.
