I recently bought a new 4k TV and want to connect my old video game systems. I'm having issues with doing so. I contacted the manufacturer about this.
I recently bought a D65u-D2 and I am trying to connect my super nintendo via composite cables. Red to Red, White to White and Yellow to Green with Yellow Ring. I am able to get my Playstation 2 to work via this method but I am having no luck with my Nintendo, Super Nintendo, and Nintendo 64. Any help you could give me would be much appreciated.
To which I got the following reply.
These devices output at 240p or 480i. Your 4K Vizio's minimum resolution it will support is 480p. In order to get these devices to work, you would need an adapter. I would suggest checking with your local electronics or gaming stores to ensure you get the correct adapter.
Thanks and have a great day!
They wouldn't elaborate on what that adapter was. And since my local electronic store is Amazon I decided to come here and ask questions. I'm assuming I just need to get an up-scaler. Amazon has several of these and I have no clue what is a quality product and what is some Chinese POS that is a waste of my time. Am I on the right track of what to get, and any suggestions on what a cheap/quality upscaler to buy?
