I love Joboman, Poggy, Niv, and Vezok, because, while they may not be the best players, they still try to win. Having fun is the most important thing to a game, but I've learned that if you don't try to win, then you're ruining everyone else's fun.
But beware if you were to have Vista installed on your computer when you bought it as, chances are you won't have a CD to go back to.
Just a small remider I guess.
One trick some PC builders used with the XP OEM preinstalled versions is to have a hidden partition with the contents of the install media in it. Look for a hidden partition, and if one's present, you may be able to rebuild from it.

Hey all... I'm retired, not dead. Check out what I'm doing these days (and beg me to come back if you want):
.bin/.cue is a type of disk image format. That's likely how it's supposed to be. Google is your friend, and I'm sure that there are sites that cater to illegal software downloaders that explain what software is necessary to burn it and how.
Yo, don't know if you are allowed to talk about this or not, but help if you can while knowing I'm not trying to get mtgsally in trouble.
Well, no, you're not allowed to talk about this. The Forum Rules are pretty clear about that. It's really just best if you kept discussion about illegal activities off the forums. This would be a good time to have just PMed someone or emailed one of the Tech Support helpers.
Keep that in mind in the future. This thread isn't for helping anyone achieve something illegal.
Whenever I use my headphones on the speakers on my desktop, I hear a clicking noise which is not affected by messing with either the system volume nor the speaker volume. What is causing this, and what can I do to fix it?
I've just discovered that, contrary to it's generic hardware list, my Dell Inspiron 8500 does not have a wireless network adapter card, presumably the reason why it was so cheap in 2003. What type of wireless card/USB adapter would you recommend for it? And do you have any idea about the price range I'd be expected to pay?
You should be able to get a wireless PCMCIA card for something in the range of $30-70 US. It depends on the manufacturer and the specs, really. Most of the better cards are $50 US and up. You can probably find them down to $20 or so, but barring a nice sale on one of the better cards, you get what you pay for.

Does this only happen when using a certain application, or dos it always happen?
It sounds like the problem could be either in your headphones, your speakers, or your sound card. Have you tried a different set of headphones? If you do and you still have the problem, try a different set of speakers.
What's a good disk image converter and burner.
I need a .BIN in a disk image.
Are there any freeware or shareware such apps that are easy to get one's digital mits on?
thx, peace

The internet is like drugs, it can be alot of fun, but most people on it say really stupid stuff
OK not geeks but people that know their way around a computer.
I have a movie I made with my digital camera and I uploaded it up to the computer and all is great.
When i try to upload it to www.photobucket.com it says it not one of these types of files:The file "" does not have a valid video extension. Valid video extensions are: 3g2, 3gp, 3gp2, 3gpp, 3p, asf, avi, divx, divx, dv, dvx, flv, gif, moov, mov, mp4, mpeg4, mpg4, mpe, mpeg, mpg, qt, swf, wmv, xvid, rm.
If anyone who knows what type of program I need to turn my video into one of these extensions, please be my guest.
1st, and most importantly (work-related)... We use an electronic parts catalogue for our department called Microcat.
The computer it is currently running on has a dongle in the printer port (Serial???) to enable the software to operate properly/at all.
Does anyone know a way to transfer this program to another computer because the program itself is no longer available through manufacturers and the ones on eBay are older versions that are not as up to date as we would like them to be.
We Ideally would like it to operate without the dongle as we need it running on 2 computers.
Running it on two computers is a violation of the software's licensing most likely, and could get you in trouble. you could possibly host it on one computer and let the other one access the application somehow.
Like over our LAN... I searched through shared files but I'm all kinda new to this
I don't believe we can run things off of each others desktops so it might be a bit difficult to do that :/
Thanks.
You should be able to, but it takes some networking know-how. At the very least you could remote desktop into it or maybe VNC into it.
2nd question: Does anyone here know how to put new fonts into photoshop? I downloaded one last night and I can't quite find how I can open it there. It's a Soviet one and it looks awesome
go to C:\Windows\Fonts in explorer, then go File -> install font, and browse to the font. That'll install it and all your apps will have access to it, though you may have to restart some of the apps.
We tried to contact the company who made the program and they are no longer in business... Thus meaning there shouldn't be anything illegal happening.
Your company's lawyers should read through the original licensing- just because the company doesn't exist doesn't mean it's legal to do whatever you want with the software- someone still has the rights to it and may well be looking for some easy money.
We would happily buy another one if only we could... I don't know how to do this remote support thing though. Is it supported by XP?
I have no idea how you can do it on XP, I've been running GNU/Linux for far too long. I know it's possible but it may take external software to pull off, or you may have to get Windows Server Edition.
ALSO: I am doing a Powerpoint presentation for my COllege course and was wondering how I could put a video from my Youtube account onto it (If at all possible.)
There are a few Firefox extensions that can do this pretty easily. Here's one.
So, I really want to play The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. However, my laptop supposedly does not meet the minimum system requirements. The issue is:

Edit: Hmm, I see this "Oldblivion" mod. Anybody have experience with it?
My somewhat old computer is starting to have some issues. The worst of it is that at random times it doesn't turn on. What happens is I press the power button, the light blinks once and returns to being off. After that, I have to unplug the power cord from the back and reinsert it in order to get any reaction from the power button at all, but it's almost always just another blink. I'll leave it be, return an hour later, and it's a coin-flip on whether it's resolved itself.
Also, the keyboard that came with it is acting really odd. For most keys, pressing two of them at once causes the computer to switch to mute and open up the C drive in an Explorer window. However, an older, largely unused keyboard works fine.
They're both Compaq (yes, I know, terrible, but you use what you've got), somewhere between 3 and 5 years old. My memory's a little off. Any clue what it is, or should I just ignore it and thank the stars I have another computer to use?

This indicates either a bad motherboard or power supply, almost always the latter.
Since you have two computers, try taking the power supply out of this computer and put in the the power supply from the other one.

Sounds like some sort of bug in the keyboard matrix. Swapping keyboards should solve it.
Can someone here please help me. I was kinda wonderin what kind of security programs was best in terms of antivirus, antispyware and stuff.
Currently Ive been using nod32 Antivirus, SpywareBlaster, Lavasoft's ad-aware personal, and SPybot S&D. Is this enough? or I should use another kind or should I remove something? Any suggestion?

Seems like overkill to me. I only use Spybot, and haven't had any problems in a few years. I would, however, wonder how typical my results are. I think it depends on other things - your internet browser, your firewall, etc.
I have a question:
I have two hard drives in my desktop computer; one with XP and the other with Ubuntu. Ubuntu mounts the Windows drive and I can read what's on there, which is definitely handy. I can't figure out to do the opposite - access the Ubuntu hard drive through windows. Is there any way I can do this?

I'd never rely on any single spyware app. There is no spyware app that gets everything (no, not even the commercial ones).
That said, there are two good ways to prevent yourself from getting spyware in the first place:
1)Don't do web browsing as a user with administrative rights
2)Don't use Internet Explorer.
