Exiting Livian Port takes you to Route 1, heading north from the town. Looking down the path, it's very open with grasses of different sizes growing in the flatlands. Occasionally a small group of trees can be seen, and the bay is visible on the horizon. Chirping birds and buzzing insects can be heard once in a while.

Route 1 exits into Livian Port at the south end, and Route 2 or 3 at the north.
The breeze whips through the grasses, making light rustling sounds as Mason continued down the Route. There is a young woman sitting under a nearby tree, and she calls out to Mason as he walks by. "Hi there, do you want to battle?"
Mason turns his head to see the young woman. Takes a moment to concider his position, rumages through his satchel for a second revealing a scratched and old looking pokeball.
"Prepare for trouble" mason says quietly, and with a quick toss Mason's pokeball goes flying through the air.

Love the line-dropping there . . . . it's on the level of John Conner's "I'll be back." in Terminator: Salvation or whatever that movie this summer was called. Bonus points for you
The young lass stood and jogged over to the path. Her blond hair bounced around on her shoulders, and her school uniform fluttered slighty in the breeze when she came to a stop. "OK, let's go. Chikorita, I choose you!" she said as she tossed her pokeball. The little green creature swung it's head-leaf around as it appeared. "Try and hit it with a Razor Leaf!" The Chikorita's leaf continued to spin, as a handful of leaves came flying out toward the Pidgey.
The sand flew around the Chikorita, raising a small cloud of dust as it went. "Cover your eyes, and try to counter with a Tackle when it gets close to you!" The Chikorita stood there, leaf over it's eyes, but unable to see past the cloud of sand and dust it was in.
The grass pokemon took the full hit, and rolled out of the sand. It seemed to struggle slightly as it stood again. "Chikorita, GROWL at it and make it think twice about attacking you!" It fixed Pidgey with it's stare and growled away. "Chikoriiiiiiiii!"
Hey, no worries, RP it however you want. It's more fun that way
"Use your Razor Leaf to deflect the sand!" The pokemon's head-leaf began to spin, throwing leaves out in front of it. The clashing air currents from the cloud of sand and flying leaves countered where they hit, dissipating the sand that was in the air without harm. "Now Tackle it while it's close to the ground!" the lass called out, and the little green creature took off running at the Pidgey.
The two pokemon collided in mid air, each charging right into the other's Tackle. The Chikorita, however, appeared to take more of the hit at it went rolling backwards toward its trainer. It struggled to regain its feet, but couldn't quite seem to make it. "C'mon, Chikorita, you need to rest up now," the girl said as she returned her pokemon to the pokeball in her hand. She walked up to Mason, handed him a small amount of money, and offered to shake his hand. "That was a good battle. I should get Chikorita back to the Pokemon Center now, but good luck!"

"Thank you", Mason says graciously. Mason puts the $200 in his pocket. Comeon' I'll walk you to the pokecenter. Probably should get these cuts on pidgey looked at.

Passing the spot where he met Illyanna, Mason continued further down the path. There was a rustling of grasses to his right as a Nidoran (male) came running out at him.
The sand appeared to deflect harmlessly off the forehead and around the horns of the Nidoran, as it turned and charged at the Pidgey. It jumped up as high as it could, intent on ramming the bird with the sharp horn protruding from its forehead. (Peck)
While short of a vortex the Pidgey was able to stir up a good swirl of air. Enough that it buffeted the Nidoran off-course, and sailed past the bird-pokemon harmlessly. It turned and gave the Pidgey a dirty look as if to say "That was a cheap trick!" (Leer)

The Pidgey connected squarely with the Nidoran's flank, knocking it into the ground, and rolling it sideways. The spiked creature came to a stop, and tried to stand up. It winced as it cleary struggled to get to its feet. It tried to stare down the Pidgey again as it stood there, legs shaking with the effort of remaining upright. (HP red zone)
Reese is seen running, puffing hard, out of breath. He stops looks around and just realized something. Where in Great-Grand Pappy's name was he? Reese decided to release Treecko from her ball to help him look about. He points to a tree and asks her to take a look about.
------
Treecko is released, she looks up at her owned and is wondering what he wants her to do. She thinks he wants here to go up and take a look about. So that's what she did. Treecko climbed to the top of a tall tree and looked about.
@ Mason: The Pokeball hit the Nidoran, and landed on the ground. It shook back and forth as the light blinked on and off . . .
. . . . and winked out with a soft chime.
Attacks are Leer and Peck
-----------------------------------------------
@ pet snake: Treecko let out a shrill cry, and came scrambling down out of the tree. A buzzing noise could be heard through the trees around them, and it was obvious the noise was making the Treecko nervous as it glanced around. A soft whisper of air brushed past Reese's ear, a soft hum like many little beating wings.
The buzzing stops.
Treecko has it's gaze firmly locked on her new opponent. There, on the trunk of the tree she was just in, watching her intently while its feelers and wings twitched, was a Nincada.
