"Now, while it's asleep, hit it with a Scratch with as much force as you can muster, Glameow!"
The cat immediately lunged toward the sleeping deer, readying its claws as it did so. Glameow aimed its claws right at the midsection of its dozing foe.
Atticus didn't know how he wasn't expecting the deer to wake up if attacked. And from the looks of things, it was none to happy about the new scratch marks on its body either. Meanwhile, the Astonish the deer had launched was very effective. Glameow jumped back, away from its foe.
"Glameow, use Growl! Don't let it frighten you, we've got it under control!"
@hat: As glameow growls as the Stantler, it seems to have the opposite effect. the stantler is very angry, and charges straight toward it, attempting to tackle it.

Usually, Glameow would be quick enough on its feet to dodge out of the way of the Tackle no problem. However, the Atonishes had started to take their toll on the cat and it only managed to slightly dodge the attack, taking a fair amount of damage in the process. Atticus could tell a couple more hits would mean Glameow would be incapacitated, but he also knew Glameow needed some experience battling.
Although weakened by all the battle damage, Glameow's strike hits home. The stantler took the full extent of the attack and then some. Noticably weakened, it staggers back until, finally, it slumps to the ground.

"Whew, that was a close one! Good job, Glameow!" Returning the cat to its Poke'ball, Atticus sighed deeply. That had been stressful. He needed to get used to close battles if he intended to become a good trainer though, so he was happy for the experience.
With that, Atticus and Sneasel continued their trek through the woods.
@Hat: Atticus and Sneasel trek down the path through the woods. They see pokemon as they pass, but none of them pay any attention to the pair of travelers. Atticus reaches the end of the woods without interruption.

"Glameow, try to put it to sleep! Hypnosis, now!"
Pausing briefly to concentrate, glameow's eyes started glowing in a colorful blue hue as it returned Stantler's stare.
Stantler gazes deeply into Glameow's eyes, causing the pokemon to nod off slightly, until it collapses into a deep slumber.

The attack of Glameow caused the Stantler to wake up! It reared to it's feet, bellowing a very loud roar, astonishing the Glameow.
