A large section of land in the ceter of town is dedicated to a Market that is open 24/7.
You can find ordinary items here but sometimes someone will show up with a limited time offer. Check her often and watch the news channel for info on these events.
Donnie had played enough RPGs when he was younger to know to stock up on things before heading out on an adventure. Somewhat disappointed by the lack of pokeballs, potions, and trophy girls Pro Fo had given him, he and his cyndaquil (nicknamed Sindaquil) stopped by the open air market.
How does this work? Do I pretend there is a shopkeeper?
Ryan walks into the market, his stride confident, his distinctive red and purple jacket blowing in the wind. His right hand drops to his belt, returning with a Pokeball.
After a long second, he presses the button. His Vulpix materializes, forming near his feet. "Let's go," Ryan says, gesturing to one of the stalls.
OOC: Looking for Pokeballs and Potions. Sorry it took such a long time to get started.
I didn't even see that list in the OP, edited it . . and welcome back Cyouni, I was wondering where you were
There are several vendors displaying their wares, from trinkets and junk, to pokeballs, and some medications as well. Each of you is able to find a shop that can supply the following:
Ryan walks over to the shopkeep, studying his wares. His Vulpix happily trots at his heels. After a while, he looks up. "I'll take two Pokeballs and two Potions."
"Hey there................................................................ ladies," he winked again, his charm turned to 11. "Mind if I buy a couple of your... pokeballs?" he asked, careful to place emphasis on "balls."
@ iforgot: The man behind the counter looked over at Donnie. "Ahem. You DO realize that she's my daughter . . . . and she's 10. Buy something or get lost, pervert." he said as he led his daughter behind the stand and out of sight.
@ Cyouni: The elderly lady looks up at you. She stared back for a brief moment, then smlied. "You look like a nice young man, but I feel there is trouble in your heart. I'll make you a deal then. You can have the four items you seek for 800, does that sound fair?" She looked down, and saw the Vulpix standing beside Ryan. "My, my, such incongruity between trainer and pokemon." Ryan noticed the faint scent of incense around the stand, and a few mystic-looking trinkets decorating a shrouded entry to a tent behind the stand.
"Yeah, I knew that," Donnie shrugged and leaned down to pet his cyndaquil, nicknamed Sindaquil. He stood back up. "Anyways, I'd like to buy 8 of your finest... pokeballs." He winked again, just in case an eligible female was around (you never know!).
@ iforgot: "Eight pokeballs is 2000. Take it or leave it." The vendor was obviously not impressed with Donnie's behavior.
@Cyouni: The lady looked apologetic as she took his money and handed over the supplies. "I meant no offense. I just see things sometimes, though at my age sometimes I can't control what I see or when I see it."
"Uuuh...," Donnie's mind went blank as he tried to calculate the cost per pokeball. His face went slack and he started drooling a bit. His cyndaquil, nicknamed Sindaquil, looked up at him and tugged on his pants. "What? What's up Sindaquil?"
Sindaquil beckoned him closer so Donnie bent down to his Pokemon's level. Sindaquil whispered something in his ear.
"I don't understand your math," Donnie responded. "But I do know enough to know that I am being cheated! If I knew how to use this broadsword," he continued, turning towards the man behind the stall and gesturing at the weapon on his back, "I would kill you right now. You're lucky I don't."
He angrily stormed off, his cyndaquil, nicknamed Sindaquil, close behind.
Lime wandered around until he reached the open air market. Spending all his life growing up on a coast, he was used to coastal cities, but this one was larger than his hometown. He heard the advertisements of stall owners and prices being haggled and also the street performers and pokemon acts. It was more hectic that what he was used to, but he enjoyed it. He noticed a stall selling pokeballs and other "essential items.
He bowed down to the shopkeeper of the stall," Hello kind sir, i would like to purchase 6 pokeballs, 3 potions, and 3 antidotes."
He then remembered the instructions given to him by his parents,"Also, If you could point me to where Professor....Foxwood's lab is. It would be much appreciated."
OOC: with this being an open air market, would it be possible to search for items not on the "for sale list?" Items like berries and such?
The people that play legacy / vintage always amuse me. They want their formats to be represented more. They want more tournaments. But when anyone suggests allowing more people access to the formats by reprinting cards, the same people start screaming about the reprint policy.
Yeah, definitely. Though this is the Beginner's Area, so to speak, so some items just might not be there. If you want to look for something specific, just name it, and roll a d100, please . . . I'll edit the first post for that as well, didn't occur to me before.
The shopkeeper smiled at Lime, and as he gathered the items said "So your total comes to 2650. And you're looking for Professor Foxwood, you said? You're in luck, he just opened a lab in town here from Newbloom. It's that way." He pointed off in the direction of the lab.
In the distance, sirens blared and smoke could be seen rising from an abandoned warehouse near the docks.
"Thank you kind shopkeep!" Lime kindly handed over the 2650 P.
Sirens Blared in the City. The smell of smoke wafted through the air in the open market. In the distance, there was smoke rising above a building near the docks.
"That looks dangerous. It's not like I can avoid helping, right mankey?" Lime realized that the mankey couldnt hear him in the pokeball, but he liked to pretend that it could.
Lime let mankey out of his pokeball and told the pig-monkey pokemon to follow him. Lime jogged at a swift pace, so not to exaust himself when he got there. Mankey followed his trainer, jumping from stall to stall like his kind would in the wild.
Lime wasn't sure exactly what he could do, but he knew he couldnt live with himself if someone got injured, let alone died, because of his inaction, he probably couldnt live with himself.

After leaving the Lab, Evan and Eve, still sitting and purring on his shoulder, wander around town a bit, and find there way to what looks like a market.
Going through, he hears people haggling over prices. Going over to a rather disgruntled looking shopkeep, Evan asks, "Excuse me sir, would you happen to know if and where I could procure more Pokeballs, Puddleballs, or perhaps a..."
Fishing Rod, and some potions
"...Fishing Rod and maybe some potions?"
Again, Evan remembers things he did not know that he knew, and not passing up the chance, goes with what is in his head?
"Vee! Ve ve ve ve Evve!!"
"I know, I'll ask him in a minute! Don't rush me!"
OOC: Edited for the banning. I know he is, but I was doing it for continuity sake. I know its fine, but I changed it anyway, seeing as how I didn't get an answer anyway.
Thanks, the less mention of him, the better *sigh*
"Hmm? Yeah, we have a lot of that stuff. Fishing gear you'll find over in Newbloom though. Percival's got a lot of that stuff. As for the pokeballs and whatnot, take a look in front of you here, and see if anything catches your eye." Before Evan, spread out on a pair of tables, were various amounts of merchandise, and occasional small signs declaring details and pricing
Looking at what is in front of him, Evan ponders what he will need, hoping that that little voice will chime in again.
After a while of not getting anything else, Evan says,
"Allright, I guess I'll take the pokeballs, and the potions. Thanks."
Handing the shopkeep 4100P$, he asks what Eve was wondering.
"My little friend here was wondering if you could tell us a couple things. First, if you didn't have the rods and lures, where to get them, and you already said that they are in Newbloom, so thanks. Second, if you knew where there were more of her kind. And third, she just wanted to say thanks for all the help, as would I."
"Hmmm, looking for Eevees? That's really tough, I can't think of a single time I've seen them in the wild, so I have no idea where to find them. Sorry. But yes, Newbloom is your place for fishing supplies, without question."
On his way out of Livian, Kieron makes his way to the Open Air Market. He had earlier recalled his Spinarak, Nossa, to her Pokeball. Looking around at all the shopkeepers he was specifically looking for two potions, any berries that may be interesting, or maybe an new interesting item he's never seen before.

"Fine," he replies with a slight shrug. A hand dips into his wallet, returning with the requested money, which he places in front of the woman.
