"Alright, Tuffie. Let's save your strength for a moment and switch you out while it's safe!" Tuffie returns to her pokéball as Scymon is sent out. Scymon charges, arms swirling in one flurry of a wing attack!
Either Tuffie was a great hypnotist, or Oliver's Pokémon was a deep sleeper. Or both. Even tearing apart the Nidoran's surface skin with the vibrating wings didn't do a thing to wake it up.

A mere ten days after the Mending, a young knight of Valeron and a young ranger of Eos made a discovery that would change Alara forever.
OOC: Just personal curiosity, how high a role does Nidoran need to wake up?
"OK, it looks like it won't take much more than one more hit, but let's see if we can't guarantee that. Before you strike a gain, since you have the time, take a moment to Focus your Energy." Scymon takes on a more meditative combat stance.
ooc: I'm sorry, that information is not available at this time.

Oliver was tempted to kick at his Pokémon to wake it up, but that would be grounds for disqualification. He stared at Scymon, then his Nidoran, with a look of frustration.

Oliver was barely aware that Nidoran didn't have the capacity to battle. That hymn alone was enough to finish it, apparently! He released his Mareep and ordered it to clip Scymon's wings with electricity. (ThunderShock)

Scymon recoils and cries in pain as the static jolts continue to consume his frame. "SCYTHEEEER!". "Oh man oh man, not good." Checking his pokedex, Frizz realizes Scyther, despite being the stronger of the two, is still outmatched here by types. "Scymon, come back. This isn't your fight! You're up again, Tuffie!"
"Puff!" Without even being commanded, Tuffie runs toward Mareep, then curls into a ball with the momentum, commencing a Rollout!
ooc: You do realize that switching 'mons takes up a battle action unless it's a replacement for a KO'd 'mon, right? Remember this for future battles. I'll just have Mareep take a double turn or something.

The moment Tuffie made an encore appearance, Mareep dragged his wool against a nearby bush, building up static for a discharge (ThunderShock). Seeing that didn't stop the rolling Jigglypuff, he looked to build static up again for a second discharge, looking to time it with the impact of the rolling attack.

OOC: Wasn't sure we were adhering that closely to the games. It just seems silly to take a pause after sending a pokemon out, but I suppose it's fair.
Tuffie continues to roll, making a banked turn and heading back for the Mareep, where it takes a static beating as it rolls into the Mareep once more...
Tuffie was starting to look a little worse for wear, but this electricity was no stronger than anything else for her and her innate resilience was paying off as she made a circle around hoping to get in one more roll with all the momentum she could muster...
Tuffie looked like she was going to sail over the Mareep, but a big gust of wind killed enough momentum to land directly on top of the foe. With Mareep out for the count, Oliver recalled his 'mon and conceded.

A mere ten days after the Mending, a young knight of Valeron and a young ranger of Eos made a discovery that would change Alara forever.
"Alright, Tuffie. It's time to roll around and have some fun!" Tuffie does her classic run-and-leap into a ball, sending herself on a rock-type rollout right toward the avian spearow.
Being bowled over a second time scared the living daylights out of the small bird. When Tuffie ricocheted off a large rock, Spearow sought to divebomb it, looking to use its beak to dig and cut into the rapldly-rolling normal-type. It sought to leave a wound long enough to serve as a distraction. It clearly wanted enough time to fly away. (Peck)
"Watch out, Tuffie! Time your roll and don't take the beak head-on!""Pff" comes the muffled reply from a balled-up Jigglypuff. Frizz hopes she gets it.
Tuffie begins to sing a lovely lullaby: "Jiiiiiiiiggullyyyyyypuuuuuuff Jigguuuullyyyyyyyyyyyypuff"
The lullaby put the poison-type to sleep and caused Oliver to become drowsy, as well. The trainer yawned, staring at his helpless 'mon.

The noise of Scymon's vibrating wings pounding against the poison-type's body did nothing to interrupt its cat nap.
