Derick thanked the professors and, after getting the approximate location of it for his PokeTool map, went on his way, riding Iron to speed things up, not confidant enough with flying with Diana yet to try that. The two rushing through the desert as quickly as they can towards there destination.
Billy looked at the Sandshrew and decided that he'd see how well Yuki-oona might
do given her type advantage. He grabbed the Snorunt's Poke Ball and released her out and said, "Let's get in some good practice Yuki-oona. Use Powder Snow on that Sandshrew." The small Pokemon ran forward and began to blast light snow toward the Sandshrew.
Geoff, approached the Professor. "Those...things. How are we supposed to be able to stop them?" He shook his head. "I can't fathom anything that might be able to rival their power..."
Having defeated the Sandshrew with Yuki-oona's Ice type attacks, Billy continued forward to Route 12 (Center) and had his younger Pokemon run through some training exercises. He then searched the route for wild Pokemon.
OOC: Training Avalerion, Sobek, and Yuki-oona. Searching for a Wild Pokemon Battle or any Battle really.

These are the Cacturnes you and Raikou disturbed in your training session. They seem a little upset with you...

The next update will be Monday night, I'm going to try and keep these things on schedule as best I can.
Also, if there are any odd spacings where it looks like there are missing words, that's due to me switching over to Chrome and having the AutocardAnywhere extension installed. Apparently it doesn't like it when you C&P card links along with normal text. I think I've corrected them all but a few might have slipped through. Thanks guys.

No matter what happens, after the Miltank battle, heading east then south along route 4 and looking for pokémon.
Josh released the electric-type, Saber, to speak as a translator for him to the group of Cacnea. He explained to them what was going on with the elemental serpents, how dangerous Ageos was right now, and if any unusual weather blew into the desert, that the safest place was underground, hidden away from the serpents' sight. The situation has gotten so desperate that even the great Desert Guardian, Raikou, has joined forces with him in an effort to seal the three godlike Pokémon again. He was merely training before, and didn't mean any harm to the Cacturne. Josh sat down in the center of the semicircle the Cacnea formed, taking a vulnerable position to convey his sincerity to them. He didn't want to have to engage them in combat unless he had to.
Geoff looked to his bag, noticing it was rather empty. He figured he would head to the nearest city to do some shopping and some research, once he rested his pokemon and himself form his ordeal. Looking to the map, he determined his destination to be El Ectri City. He decided to look for some trainers along the way to help hone his skills.
Beryl sends out Trooper to face the Swinub. "Use Ember, but not too strong now -- we don't want to knock it out!" Trooper puffed a small stream of flames in the Swinub's direction.
The Swinub settled into Beryl's Great Ball immediately, putting up no resistance at all.
YOU WON!
Trooper gained 4 exp.
Captured a "Swinub" !
Beryl names her new friend Tundra and decides to have him train toward Icy Wind next. Upon seeing that Trooper had reached a new level of power (BLV 6 to be exact), she decided to have him train toward Fire Fang.
After the battle, Beryl headed further up the plateau, and discovered much to her astonishment a hidden city on the mountain. After getting her Pokemon settled in at the Pokemon Center and learning of the existence of a Pokemon Gym here, she decided to access the PC again. "It made sense to have a lot of Ground-types for an expedition into the desert. Now that I'm here, Ice-types would probably be best. See ya later, Hardy and Sayuri. You deserve a nice long rest at home." After finishing her swaps, Scout and Cheeri remained on her team, in addition to Lagoon, Trooper, and her new companion, the little Swinub named Tundra. Lastly, Beryl sent Slick home to bring Mystic back. The little Dratini leaped with delight into her arms. "You might be just the ticket I need to find the Dragoons," she said.
Beryl trained all her Pokemon, focusing her attention toward the least experienced ones. Tundra and Cheeri quickly bonded, the pig Pokemon sharing the best techniques for finding tasty berries in the snow, while the older bear demonstrated how to fend off Trooper's fiery attacks. Lagoon seemed right at home on the snowy mountain, using her ice and water attacks to great effect. Scout took on the role of coaching the team to have a proper battle stance and tenacious attitude.
Beryl then walked around town, asking people if they knew anything about the Dragoons and where to find them.

Hmmm, what's this? Nicolette thought as she pocketed the rare bone in her satchel. I'll have time to think about that later, we need to get going. She whistled for Emberlace, and the pair was off again for Magnolia City with all possible speed (again, Emberlace using a tempered version of agility for a more consistent speed boost)
OOC: Since Jenesis' questions a pertinent to everyone else as well I'm going to make a "mini"-Announcement...
ANNOUNCEMENT: In the light of the events at the ruins of the ancient Ageosian capital, Professor Haman has started a collection Ancient Relics in hopes of finding a solution to the problems now facing Ageos. He's willing to compensate trainers for their trouble by tutoring their Pokemon in special moves which they wouldn't normally be able to learn...

Once you're there, you heal and switch out your pokemon before doing some training. (All +1xp, Tundra, Lagoon and Mystic +2xp) Next you start asking around the town about the Dragoons. Nurse Joy tells you that you should talk to Gym Leader Michael...

The World of Pokemon RPG has been rebooted. Come over and check it out.
Having defeated the Diglett, Yuki-oona finally learned Ice Shard. Billy looked through some information on his Pokedex and set Yuki-oona to learn Ice Fang next. He notices the storm starting to pick up around him and tries to make his to Laurel City. If he gets there without much of an issue, he immediately sees to getting his Pokemon healed up at the Pokemon Center. Then he'll head over to Professor Haman and turn over his Relic Silver to have him teach Yahoola how to use the move Heat Wave.
He was pretty sure he knew what was causing the smoke, or at least fear he did, he quickly approached the camper, "Hey, whats going on?" he asked in a panicked voice, making it clear he knew it must be something big.
OOC: Scout is learning his final regular move, Poison Sting. There's an "I" missing from the beginning of his flavor text. Trooper's card shows Agility learned twice, when it should only be learned once. I also retconned slightly to say that Prof. Haman asked Beryl for the green shard and she gave it to him, which was what you intended. It makes sense for her character.
Having finally caught a break in her investigation, Beryl makes an appointment with Gym Leader Michael for the next day.
The Leader seems caught off guard when Beryl doesn't immediately send out her Pokemon, though. Instead, she bypasses the trainers' platform entirely and approaches Michael. Mystic sits coiled around her shoulders, and she carries the Dragoon Spear like a standard bearer.
"I'm sure you're aware by now of the three Legendary Serpents rampaging through Ageos. Let me tell you what I know...." She starts with the mysterious disappearance of Rocket Jenny, then the expedition, the dead Dragoon's remains, the shards, the pillar, Jenny's madness, a real Raikou telling her she was in terrible danger. "Look, I realize now it was a dumb decision to give the shard to Prof. Haman so that he could unlock the ancient secrets of Ageos. But -- we're just kids! We didn't know any better! Right now, if there's anyone who can deal with these things, it's the Dragoons. I met one of your members, Josh. He said you were sworn to protect the people and the peace of Ageos. There's gotta be something you can do."
Beryl will then ask Michael the following questions, and if he doesn't know the answers, she'll attempt to research them in the archives of the Ageos Spirituality Association:
1. How long have the Dragoons been around on Ageos?
2. Did the Dragoons have a base of operations in the location of the now-ruined pyramid and city in the desert?
3. Where did the three Legendary Serpents and Raikou come from?
4. Did the Dragoons use the shards to seal the three Legendary Serpents beneath the temple? If not, who did?
5. There was an inscription on the pillar. What did it mean?
6. Who or what could have produced the charring on the bones found in the desert?
7. There's a hidden temple beneath Route 12. Who built it, when, and why was it destroyed? When did Solrock and Lunatone move in?
8. I need to get stronger. Where are some good places to train around here?
As a token of goodwill, Beryl offers the Dragoon Spear to Michael. "This artifact belongs in your safekeeping. I trust you'll take good care of it." She then departs to whichever training hotspot Michael indicated, where she trains her Pokemon, and looks around for Trainers to do battle with.

There's only one thing nagging at the back of her mind as she leaves the Gym building, though:
Why on earth would an Ice-themed gym need ceiling fans?
Kira releases her newest team member from its pokeball and checks the Pokedex. Oddish, the Weed Pokemon. Its scientific name is "Oddium Wanderus." At night, it is said to walk nearly 1,000 feet on its two roots.
'Wow, you're able to learn a variety of status moves. Which one do you want first?'
The Oddish playfully spits a tiny glob of acid in the air.
'Right. Poison type, poison move. Why do I even ask?'
(next move: PoisonPowder)
'Let's go back to the lab and get everyone patched up. Afterwards, I'd really love to see what's going on in that forest over there.'
Kira heads back to Shire Town and asks around in the lab if she can get her team healed there.
(OOC: We're using third-gen movesets, right? If so, my Oddish seems to be a bit early with that Acid. Even if acid-spitting killer weeds definitely are cool ...)
OOC: Move sets are as per Heart Gold / Soul Silver from gen-IV . . unless that changed when I wasn't looking
You start your journey south once more but are stopped after only a little while by a massive storm on Route 12 (Center)...

The eye on last a couple minutes before the storm returns with a vengeance...
What do you do next?
Nicolette and Emberlace decide to explore the cavern some more, returning to the site of the ruins while the passing storm rages outside. (since we're taking shelter anyway, and you brought up the cave, I figure we've got access to it, right? )
OOC: The move sets are still based on the HG/SS Gen IV lists. The only exception will be with the Gen V Pokemon in the (restocked) Safari Zone, which for obvious reasons will have to use the B&W2 Gen V move sets.

Josh accepted the Cacnea's handshake, Saber explaining that if they knew the grounds that the Cacnea tribes were taking shelter, he and Raikou would stay well clear of them during the training process, as well as do what they could to drive the serpents away and make the desert hospitable and safe again.

Then the team heads south and east to Russetton, where Frizz will buy two pokéballs and a potion, then look for trainers.

You take shelter in the entrance to the cave your Onix dug into the hillside, the same one that contained the abandoned Temple. As the eye of the thunder storm passes over your shelter the rain dies away and for a brief moment you can see the blue serpent, Hydrix, aloft in the dead center of the eye. The eye on last a couple minutes before the storm returns with a vengeance...
What do you do next?
Nicolette and Emberlace decide to explore the cavern some more, returning to the site of the ruins while the passing storm rages outside. (since we're taking shelter anyway, and you brought up the cave, I figure we've got access to it, right? )
