**Apparently satisfied with this, Antoninus flagged down the guy who gives the hunts in the King whose name he couldn't remember because, come on, there are too many people in Bakara for that.**

Antoninus - "We hear you have a hydra problem."

Paidan - "Carier eh? Bog hydras are unpleasant. Not as rough as their Lutharin cousins, mind, but almost as dangerous in their own way. Definitely trickier, and more cunning."

Paidan - "Hard to say. A lot of the old stories about hydras are referring to bog hydras; they will grow back heads if you let them. Fire's not quite as effective as the stories make it out to be but it will definitely slow down any regeneration. They're venomous, so watch out for that, and if they're hiding within a bog itself they're almost impossible to spot."

Antoninus - "So if their heads grow back, how do you kill them? Cut off all the heads fast enough, or something else?"

Paidan - "Two caravans and a few independent hunters, as far as we know. And my advice is to only go for the head to get them out of the way if you're being overwhelmed. The killing strikes would be aimed towards the vital organs"

**Antoninus nodded, then turned to his companions.**

Antoninus - "I reckon that's enough. Ready?"

Heulen - Yeah, I'm ready. I even know a way to lure the hydra out if it is hiding.

**Without further ado, Antoninus led the party out and on their way.**

Paidan] - "Last we know of was a few weeks ago. Hard to know for sure if there's been nothing since then."

Paidan - "It's not unheard of for animals to displace themselves, though it's rare for a griffon. We probably won't ever know why it left Chakosa."

"Probably had a walk in with something bigger."

Diarnan, dirty and with matted fur, enters with a magpie perched on his horns. He makes his way to the bar, giving wide berth to any other groups gathered. He clambers up a barstool and sits on his knees staring curiously around before finally addressing the bartender.

Diarnan - "So what is this place? Is there anything fun to do here? I thought my last adventure to find a sphinx was going to be much more interesting."

"Where did the griffon last kill?" Freak gave a tug on his cigar and bit at its end. "Might still be somewhere there."

Jougo and Akane head out.

**A disheveled man carrying a monsterous, if finely swaddled, baby girl walks up to the bartender as well.**

Yack - "Coatl hunt. Who do.. I talk to?"

**The harpy infant stares at Diarnan.**.

Diarnan looks back and forth between the baby and the bird perched on his head. As He leans closer to speak to the swaddled form the bird descends to his arm opposite the baby.

Diarnan - "My friend says you are not what you appear to be, but what are you? "

Diarnan reaches out to touch it.
