I would be willing to say that both options could and should be undertaken, as some of the children might want to see the sea more than the mountains and vice versa. I would accompany the people on the ship, should any of the children wish to go that route.
Mental to Nervada- Keep with the mountains. Strength is better served there. I sense more to this journey than is let on. Who gives an oath for a children's group field trip on a magical orb? I want to see if anything happens on the water. Safer for me anyway. Keep your eyes peeled brother...and please, don't try to arm-wrestle any mountains...again.
Doggett - We are not splitting up the children. They are my responsibility and I can only be in one place at a time. Dividing our manpower while doubling the dangers for the sake of sightseeing is not worth it.

"There are far more dangers on the land route to be sure! Elexia is as safe a town as can be, and journeys by sea are nice and boring, just as journeys should be! I vote Sea."

**Memories of being trapped in the hollow caverns of the scionic mountains flooded through the westerner's mind, and he blurted his answer without hesitation or delay, despite Dawn_ being one of the last people to vote on the matter. Chronology be damned.**
Roshem - "I would very much prefer the way by sea. The only sea I know is made of dunes, and I am eager to amend that understanding."
**Anyone looking into Dawn_'s Roshem's eyes could tell the decision was not made for funsies.**

Damek thought very suddenly about the only time he had ever been on a boat (Olo's fault of course) and felt queasy. Without admitting his own fear of boats and the water underneath them, he replied promptly with: "Mountains. Less vulnerable in general, we have avenues of escape should they be needed, and it seems our fighters are better suited to the positioning available on land vs. sea." Through all of this, Damek kept his face stoic, revealing none of his personal emotions.

Doggett - Alright then, mountains it is. We have a number of carriages at our disposal in the square, we will leave via the north gate and go on northward from there.
There are twenty students, four faculty, four school guards, eleven hired guards and myself. So five students, a teacher, a regular guard and a three hires to a carriage, with me making up for the uneven numbers.
Carriage one will be Miss Saleyani, Guardsman Kuregi and the following students: Sarass Whitesands, Morgen Redtalon, Raven Sanquan, Tabitha Flynn and Jimmy Delgrove.
**Sherwood squinted, looked over Doggets shoulder and whispered something.**
Doggett - ....really? Sorry, apparently penmanship is not required of teachers. That last name should be Jenny Salgravi.
Carriage two will be Sherwood, Guardsman Klee, and the following students: Korth Torga-leen, Rathias'Gul, Jaali, Madelaine Slate, and Kara Wolfmane.
Carriage three will be Mirsch, Guardsman Corazon, and the following students: Amar Alphatide, Dian Hyde, Amelia Etang, Gewahlt Beartooth, and Alespry'Dal
Carriage four will be Me, Hoden, Guardsman Diamant, Plaga Delskara, Alica Corel, Gawain Cooper, Idrile Tiwele and Felix Faerwind.
**Alphonsine and the man in grey both moved for carriage number one. They came face to face at the door and suddenly Alphonsine welt very pale. The man in grey simply stared him down as the knight backed away, a look of great pain on his face.**
---------------------------------
Everyone pick your carriage, first come, first serve, two to a carriage, save for carriages 2 and 3, which can have three. If this process drags too much the last few may be assigned as needed.

**With no one taking carriage four, Hilde headed there. Assuming it would be last in the line, she didn't mind taking rearguard. The confusion with carriage one was curious, and she decided to file it away for now.**
Kherren also headed for carriage four, wandering over while the others milled around their respective choices. He approached Hilde, seeing fit to introduce himself as they would be traveling and working together for a while. He extended a hand towards her.
**The hunter took in the garr with a long look; she had never met one of his race before now. She nodded, extending her normal hand to return Kherren's handshake. When she spoke he would notice her distinct accent.**
Alexis lit one final cigarette before the long journey ahead of them and slumped against carriage three. The woman was clearly taking her time, silently making eye contact with all of the children as they entered on board, thinking about how much fun the smells and noises of a wagon filled with children will be.
**The woman also settled in easily enough, checking the binding on her arm absentmindedly as the conversation with Kherren continued.**
Hilde - Oh. Well, originally this small rural region near the border of the Scionics. But that was along time ago. What of yourself? Your people are a mountainous folk, correct?
Kherren- The kindir mountains are smaller, and richer in ore than crystal. The wildlife is substantially different, I'm used to dealing with ironrocks and windreavers. The Alogeans are teeming with gorions and gilas.

To live is to hope, and while we breathe, we hope and live.
Kherren- Kherren Torga-Leen.
Hilde - Hilde Martisse, well met.
To live is to hope, and while we breathe, we hope and live.
Kherren settled back into a comfortable stance.
