"Alright, thanks." Empty Square walks around the room once, looking more closely at the details on the walls, the carpets, etc. After a moment, he goes to the closet on the far side of the room. It is empty...for the moment.
"Time for the changing of the guard," he says to himself. He takes off his jade coat and places it on a hanger in the closet. "Almost seems like the end of an era," he says. He then takes the Izzet coat Xile gave him and puts it on, looking himself over in the body-length mirror. "It stands out well against the undershirt," he says. "I still have the question marks, but now I have dragons too." He smiles.
"Well, now that we have a new wardrobe, let's go see that elemental." He heads out to meet up with Xile.

He comes down, and finds Xile watching a young man working with the elemental, both of whom are inside a much larger cage. What looks like a transparent magical blue bubble is around the young man's head.
"Well, it's fairly smart. I think it's figured out that Kaz is immune to its— that Kaz is immune to its time loop ability," Xile says. Inside the cage, it appears that Kaz is just as aware now of the time jump that just happened as Empty Square is.
Empty Square raises an eyebrow. "Seems like we just had a temporal hiccup there. Not as serious as when we first caught the thing -- this only took a second. I guess it's toned down the looping."
"I've given it some thought. There are a lot of ways to go about it. Since a lot of my current spells revolve around countering things, I thought about trying to continue that route, maybe by trying to Delay certain spells. The truly motivated mage would look at every possible time aspect that red and blue has to offer. I'd have to spend some time sitting down and looking at all the different strategies involved. I'm sure you'll agree there's a lot to look at."
Empty Square smiles. "Indeed. For now, since I'm just getting started in the Izzet, I'm going to almost have the colors working independently. The blue is still there for counter purposes and summoning creatures, and the red is mainly offensive damage. I also don't have much space for everything as of yet. As my ability to handle multiple spells increases, the time aspect should eventually work its way into my system."
There's a strange noise from the elemental as it runs over and shreds a training dummy. Another person casts a spell seeming to rewind time in a small area, reforming the dummy. It immediately gets shredded once again.
Empty Square watches as the dummy gets shredded. "Yikes," he says. "Okay, well, let me know if anything changes with the elemental. I'm going into town." He starts to head out.
Len nods his thanks to the doorman, and heads out towards the city.

OOC: I’m just catching Len up to the “Current” timeline.
The moment Len walked into the building he had been calling home for the past few months, he was practically jumped by Asuza, demanding that he return his book on Mirrodin that he had borrowed. This led him to a week-long search trying to actually find the darn thing; the last time he remembered having it was just before he got jumped. His memories got a little fuzzy immediately after that.
Finally, he found the book in House Benalia’s library, of all places. After a series of questions, he discovered that it had been brought in with him when he was stricken, somebody picked it up, and it ended up getting into the library, and nobody really asked about it. Len took it, and returned it, reluctantly. In explaining his situation to Asuza, she decided to forgo the late fee, but explained that he shouldn’t make a habit of using this as an excuse. He hoped that he wouldn’t get the opportunity to use it again.
After this, he set to work. About a week was spent moving most of his stuff to his new room in Nivix, but he found that he couldn’t stand to part with the room. He used it as a workshop, working on a small brass piece of artifice. Meanwhile, Click was spending its time making more signs, which Len had finally managed to find a place to store them on Click that 1, Click could reach with its limited mobility, and 2, didn’t block its lens.
Somewhere around this time, the Festival started. Len watched the antics, and eventually found his old friend Aramil drugged down an alleyway. He helped him to the Shimian tents, knowing of the animosity between Aramil and Lat-Nam.
Len spent the time afterwards going back and forth between Lat-Nam and Nivix, trying to find work, spending time with Drea when she wasn’t busy engrossed with whatever project those two had cooked up (escaping each time with his eyebrows intact; barely), and spending his remaining off time working on the new project that he had immersed himself in. He had checked out another book from the library (for a day only; he didn’t want to tempt the wrath of Asuza again), and used that to figure out the remaining pieces of the puzzle this box was becoming.
After a month of this, he sat in his room, putting the finishing touches on it. He closed the box, crossed his fingers, and opened the box again. He then closed it, satisfied.
”I think that’s good.”

He picked up the brass box about 5x5x3 inches in size, picked Click up and put him into his new pouch on his belt, and went to find Drea.
Len blinked a few times, and shook his head, trying to clear it up. Unfortunately, this just worsened the headache. "S'okay," he says, sitting up, gingerly. "Got those reflexes from working with Trey, I'll bet."
