Senator Trigori owns a giant library fill with tomes about everything you could imagine.
The building is right near Phrav; it is a brick building that looks basic and kind of like every other building around. The outside makes it look deceptively small. However, on the inside, it has multiple floors and millions of tomes. Many Azorius Guildmages are walking around the library arranging various things.
OOC: This is just a thread for basic RPing, kind of like Quen's tavern. If your character want to know something, they can probably find it here.
The Azorians wrokers are not numerous here, but you can usually find one quite easily from any place in the library.
Surprisingly, there were not to many people here reading and patronizing the library, and most of the people seemed to be hard at work arranging and sorting books.
Upon picking the book up off the ground, you notice something about it that you did not notice before. On one of the covers, there seems to be an indent forming the cover picture. The goblin was trying so hard to carry it that it had blocked the symbol from view. The symbol, recognizable only to a few, was a symbol you were very familiar with. Around the symbol were some figures in an unknown language, but as you stared at them, the words "The Tenth Guild" came into your mind.
The book is indeed heavy, and you are very weary by the time you get up to the top floor, but once you get there, you see no more desks, simply a man behind his desk reading a book.
Roger began to wonder about this book. He knew dimir was supposed to be nonexistant, and so did the woman who gave him this task. He began to ponder all this as he said. "Ah... Mr Trigori? I have something for you."
OOC: Just to note. Currently, the Dimir is "nonexistent" They supposedly died out many years ago, but some/most people believe that there was a tenth guild at some point, so the book would likely be some sort of history book(even though no one know what the Dimir "was") or some sort of horror book.
"Hmm? Returning a book? Name please" He said. You still could not get a good look at his face, as it was behind a large book.
"I'm not really sure that returning is the right word here. I was given this tome by a woman named Eliyana (I think it was her... correct me if I'm wrong, it was a long time ago). I was told to deliver it straight to Trigori. And my name is Roger, Roger Dredge."
"Eliyana you say?" He puts down the book and you can see him. He is a older bald man with a small white beard. He appears very short, yet wise. "You poor soul" He shakes his head, cracks his knuckles, grabs a book of his shelf, read a short spell and thrust his hands toward you as if casting something on you. You feel nothing, maybe a little calmer. "All right, do you know where you are?"
"Oh! I'm sorry. You came by your own free will. Usually when Eliyana has someone do something for her, she has just taken over their mind and made them do it. I just cast a small spell that would remove such a curse. Now why-er-Are you just returning that one book?"
Roger thought for a moment, "I don't really know. It was mostly on a whim. She had a job to do, I wasn't busy, she said she'd pay me, and I'm already working with her for other things... I figured it wouldn't hurt to see the city either. This book just happened to be the one she wanted to deliver. The cover is in some strange language that I can sort of... but not really understand and has a strange symbol on it." Roger wasn't in the mood to life the thing off the ground to show him. "Its heavy, I had one of my summons carry it here."
Frowning, Trigori gets up and lifts the book slowly onto the table. "Hm..." He clearly doesn't recognize the symbol on the front either. He turns a few pages in "Oh of course. That is the Tenth Guild's supposed symbol. You know the guilds, of course. Well there is a rumor that at time of the signing of the guildpact, there was actually a tenth guild, the Dimir, I believe it was called. They were very mysterious and cryptic, but you don't need to worry. They died off a long time ago. If you want to know more, I'm sure I could find another book on the subject, but they are few and far between, and all the stories differ from each other greatly. It is astonishing, but it still probably is just another myth. But, I wonder what they could have been like? Hmm... thats just the thing Eliyana would read, too."
Roger kept his cool. He didn't want to say anything that might bring about the wrath of a certain lobotomist. "Dimir? Strange name..." Roger pretended to think for a moment. "If each guild is representing two colors of magic that would make them... blue and black correct? Well, if they are gone I guess it doesn't matter to much. The world seems to be moving about just fine right now. Except for those Phrexian things near Estark, that is. You seem to know Eliyana. What's she like? Am I getting in over my head by working with her?"
"Well, I can't say that I know her too well. She certainly is a little twisted, but she is a member of the Izzet and the Rakdos last I checked and that is never a fun combination. She also seems to like to mess with people's minds, so I'd be careful if I were you."
"Well, I've done what she sent me to do, so I suppose I'll be heading out soon. This is a really nice library. Do you have much on Dominaria? I know your plane recently fell on top of ours so I can't imagine you do." Roger was mildly curious about the history of his birthplace, but he doubted they had much on this plane.
OOC: I have no idea what you are talking about and niether does anyone else. Ravnica is not a plane in this game, it is simply another city, just like Estark. Assuming the question stands:
"Well, Dominaria is certainly a broad subject, but I'm sure we have something. Do you want some sort of history, or is there something specific I can find for you?"
OOC Oops... for some reason I had it in my head that ravnica came to dominaria like Rath did...
"Well... Maybe..." Roger then went about explaining to him about the marsh lands of his home. He was curious about whether he might be able to find his relatives and do something about them and if they were still in power there.
OOC: There is nothing in your AC post about your past, so I'm just guessing.
Well, we have a large section on the marshlands down on the seventh floor, so if you want to check it out you can, but I doubt you will find much recent stuff.
OOC: This is how the library works. If you(character) want to find something that you(player) know is true(for example, if your character is not from this plane and would like to look up how the guilds work), you simply must RP the search and you can gain that information without much WPL intervention. But, if you want information that is part of a quest, or information that could potentially start a personal quest, inform us and we will think of something.
