Hey all this thread is going to be for any discussion related to the Festival event. Nominations for festival awards should go here for discussion as well. Post 'em as you see 'em!
I'm curious as to how the blasting station/beacon of creation combo works. Since all the creatures hit play at the same time, wouldn't there only be a single untap you could use?

Okay, when the twenty creatures enter the battlefield, twenty instances of the Untap trigger go on the stack. There's a chance for each player to respond to this, so Xen activates the Blasting Station's ability, sacrificing one of the creatures that entered the battlefield, and tapping the Station. The activated ability resolves, ping 1. The triggered ability resolves, untapping the Station. Now, everyone has a chance to respond once again. He activates the Blasting Station, and the cycle repeats.
Yes, it works. In paper Magic as well as RPG Magic.
Seeing that combo has caused me to add a few more cards to my next purchase. Pretty sick little thing; I've never seen that card before either. I'm going to throw it into my token EDH deck on MWS as well for when we play down here.

Ok so Sengrir gets to go to semi finals, since i dont feel inclined to participate in the unfun Fog tech specially when i got no real game swinging bomb.
I'm thinking that this will be won by either Xen or Roger, actually i feel that unless Xen and Roger face up in the Semi-Finals that that will be the Final Match

Festival is effectively over. Now it's time for the wrap up and prizes. So I would like everyone to make their nominations for any of the alternate prizes I had mentioned in the rules thread here. In one post please with the Subject of Nominations preferably. This would be for things like most memorable moment and such. Let's go with a deadline of the 11th of February for these nominations.
Thanks for participating and I hope all of you enjoyed the first Festival event here!
I am going to have to second the nomination for Aramil, his descriptions that went on regarding what happened between him and Tai were simply put, amazing. I enjoyed reading them immensely.

I nominate Id Ego, for making up his own drink and actually getting another player to drink it... but I also nominate the whole in-bar breaking fourth wall duet

I am incredibly Biased, I mean I loved the Duet/Make out Session with Maeja (and honestly it should be a dual nomination there both for me and Giga for such awesome crafting).
I loved making up Xen's new nickname, and telling the dryad naughty things I also liked tormenting the NPC druid girl... and while i personally found it very one sided and kinda boring i would say I egged my opponents well enough.
However if nominating oneself isnt allowed i suppose Yukora for mind raping Sengir and Giga for the overly flirtatious Maeja, oh and Murphy for a very entertaining chat with Oreo.

I don't think this is necessary, but just to make it official, I decline any nominations for Maeja's portion of the duet, as it's not fair for an NPC to take this prize.
Ok so we have a basis of nominations to work with. I'm going to be discussing with the other WPLs on these nominations over the next couple of days so feel free to keep on nominating scenes and such while we discuss.

The line of text is an ability that has a trigger of when a creature enters the battlefield.
Beacon of Creation creates creatures. In my match the beacon made 20 creatures.
How many creatures are entering the battlefield? Twenty.
That triggers "Whenever a creature enters the battlefield, you may untap Blasting Station." twenty times.
That's how the engine works.

While this wasn't going on in a match I thought that the Aramil/Selesnya interactions were very well played.
EDIT: for specifics, the encounter with Tai in the stands, where a fight broke out. And the mind delving that followed after.
thanks DarkNightCavalier for the sig!
