Nannex's mouth goes agasp at the floating coin, he reaches for it instinctively, then draws back as it floats in the air and recoils his hand to himself as though it were burned. He eyes the coin for a few moments, as though not sure whether to swat the offending magical trinket or stare at it for a few more moments. His gaze jerks up to the others walking off and he gives a tiny squeak and grasps the coin quickly and stows it in his back with a swift fluid motion. He jogs off to catch up to them quickly, trying to keep from tripping on his robes, and when he catches up he resumes a more upright human posture and the previous awkward gait.
Ertai stops in front of a room on his left. "The accomodations are simple. You recieve a bedding, a desk, and a dresser. Utilize your space wisely. This room is yours, Kant Segmore."
He then points directly across the hall. "Nannex, you have the same accommodations. Both of you, make yourselves comfortable."
"Oh, and I'm receiving some tidings here... once you get yourselves comfortable, you may wish to look at the main foyer. Which, Gabranth, I'm sure you're interested in. Now then, do you have anything else you wish to discuss with me?"
Nannex opens and closes the door a few times, fascinated by it for a few moments, before closing it finally and turning around. "No, I think I will look around for awhile and get to know my s-" He cuts himself short and consciously of his accent changes his wording. "...location." He turns and quietly moves off towards the central hall, looking around and noticing the parchment. "Ideal! I mussst find sssome sssort of companion who will... I mussst undertake thisss at once!" He digs through his bag, already thinking of spells to use and studying the parchment again and again.
Kant nods. "Much obliged." He closes his cloak again and goes to arrange his quarters.

Checking that he had a small batch of herbs in his bag, Kant walks outside of his room and closes the door. There he sees the small lizard creature scurrying about the parchment and speaking loudly. "What's all this about..." Kant mummers to himself as he slowly walks up to the parchment on the wall and reads it. "A tome...interesting... seems like a good time to wear my boots in a bit..." He nods to himself and goes to speak to Ertai about the commission.
Ertai is found by Kant. "Ah, you are ready then. Well, the pen is right next to the paper, please inscribe your name. We will fly you and your partner to Skirk this evening. You shall proceed to the East side."
A rather well-dressed Ertai, Wizard Adept shows up at the front door. "This is the House of the Lat-Nam Wizards. May I ask what you have transported yourself here for? Have you discovered our infamous brotherhood and wish to inquire about acquisitioning a dormitory?" He seems to be enjoying his little monologue.
"Ah yes, my name does indeed have a way of travelling. Indeed, I am he, and here I am, accepting new entrants into the house of Wizards, prodigies that will continue to lead into greatness and wisdom. One who has already heard of my name has likely come to expand upon his general knowledge further. You have asked, and now your questions will be answered. To show that you are looking for such answers, here is an emblem of the house of Lat-Nam."
He snapped his fingers. Tyier's ear suddenly feels a bit uncomfortable, and when he goes to scratch it, he finds a coin with the symbol of the Lat-Nam Wizards upon it. "Make my companionship and acquaintance, as I will show you to your room. For the purpose of your studies, you shall be provided with a bookcase, a simple bed, and a chest with a padlock. Make good use of our hospitality." Ertai casually waves his hand, and turns, standing alongside Tyier, and begins to lead him up a set of stairs.
Ertai showed him to his room, on the first floor in one of the last rooms to the left. "This is your quarters, living space, dormitory, room, fortress of solitude, whatever you wish to call it. Take some time to get yourself settled in, and then you should take part in some exploration. If you find yourself without much else, commissions and jobs are posted in the main hall, where you entered. If you require guidance, I'll be... around." With that, he snaps his fingers, and seems to disappear, although Tyier can still hear footsteps for a few seconds.
Tyier walks into the room. He sits on the bed, it's fairly soft, it should be comfortable. He walks over to the chest, opens it, and decides he has nothing to store in it for now.
The small boy leaves his room and finds his way back down to the main hall. He reads the only open commission, "That should be interesting," he says, "I might be able to learn something handling such a powerful magic artifact." He signed his name. "I'm not sure what epochrasites are though."

I'll bet you wish you had a non-unglued/unhinged card that shared your first name.
The name appears on the list after it was scratched in. The name glows for a moment in blue letters, then sinks back into the page. It then appears to be locked.
OOC: Your name is now down on this quest. It was originally posted by qfx, but with his permission, I would like to take this one over on his behalf. It will go up later tonight.
In the main hallway, after he signs his name, Tyier is confronted by a man in relatively extravagant clothing. He wears a messenger's cap, and robes of gold, the color of the Grand House "Excuse me, are you Tyier Manix? I possess an urgent message! Ertai sent me to meet you!"
"Ertai? -but I was just about to leave on a commission." Tyier narrowed his eyes at the man from under his brown hood. Would someone from the Grand House lie about Ertai?
Am I supposed to know what the grand house is?

I'll bet you wish you had a non-unglued/unhinged card that shared your first name.
OOC: Just about anyone who has heard of the city knows about its government, and therefore at least about what the Grand House is. You're fine.
The man looks terribly troubled. "I found Master Ertai near the entrance to this place. The city is under attack! We need representatives from each house to combat this menace, and Ertai said that he had confidence in you, and sent him here! War machines! Oh, destruction is in store for us all!
Ertai also gave me this, which he scrawled quickly upon!"
He hands Tyier a scroll of parchment. Upon it was written the following:
"Tyier,
This man approached me on the way to an important engagement. I hardly had time for this trifle, but you strike me as a competent youth suitable for the task he speaks of. I am aware that you were considering performing a different adventure for us, which is acceptable and adequate. However, if you wish to represent us, I have a feeling you will serve to protect us well. If you want, you may go, otherwise your ride will still be ready for when you leave. The choice is yours. If you do not wish to take this quest, pin this paper up next to the others in the hall.
~Ertai
"What does it say, and will you help this city?" The messenger wrung his hands, very nervous.
"It was just urging me to go with you," Tyier said, rolling up the parchment and slipping into a pocket in the interior of his robe, "and I suppose I will."

The man seems somewhat relieved, and he clasps his hands, looking up at the ceiling for a moment. "Thank you, mighty wizard! Your town shall thank you! Please, follow me to the Grand House, where you will confirm your participation!" He hustles towards the main entrance to the House, and leaves, heading towards the center of town.
To confirm, please post a message on the Estark, City of Kush thread.
As Ther-os gets closer to the House of the Lat-Nam Wizards he is amazed by the elegant features the house has and he thinks to himself, "This must be the place...it is everything I expect and more..."
Ther-os comes to the door and isn't sure if he should knock or simply walk in as if it was his own house. After debating about it for a minute and talking to himself out loud he figures he will just walk in.
Ther-os opens the door and gives out the biggest "Helllllo?!" he can muster from his small lungs. "Hellllo?! Is anyone home?" He looks around and just stands in the door way afriad to go any further in hopes someone heard his cry.
Ertai, Wizard Adept steps out of the shadows. "Welcome to the place of undeniable intelligence and knowledge. I sense a being of small stature but expansive mind present before me. I see before me but a child, but one who is likely not to be understimated. What can I do for you, boy?" Ertai seems... intrigued, but slightly preoccupied.
"Oh, Hi there..." said Ther-os a little unsure of what to say...
"I...I..um..." he clears his throat "I have come here to join The House of the Lat-Nam Wizards! I am a pretty awesome apprentice mage! :teach:" he stands tall and proud as if he has just schooled the older wizard before him, although he knows his attempt has most assurely failed.

Ertai scoffed. "Childish pride will get you nowhere, little boy. An apprentice mage you once were? Well, you may continue your studies here. Be aware that many of the others who are sentient to this establishment are older than you. You will be judged, and overdoing your pride will make you find hardship unless you mature quickly. However, we will allow you to educate yourself here. Now, before I further... inaugurate you, what is your name?"
"Hey! I'm not that little! ...annnnnnnnnd... my name is Ther-os! I am very surprised you haven't heard of it before and although I may be a child I am old at heart..." he looks around still amazed at all the features the house has "...oh, and don't worry about me, just watch I will show you I am worthy to be apart of this house! :glee:"
He then points directly across the hall. "Nannex, you have the same accommodations. Both of you, make yourselves comfortable."
